Oh, sweet. I plan on moving out once I land a job, and when my girlfriend finishes High School, and or I enlist.

My girlfriend and I used to live down in California, but her and her family moved up here to Washington. When I graduated high school, I got a job in merchandising and transferred up here.

I want to join the Marines, the last recruiter that talked to me won me over, said him and his buddy were at a job fair thingy in HS. He was flirting with the girls and what not. His friend comes up and says "Hey! Lets join the National Guard" he says sure. So he goes home and tells his grandfather the news, the granddad goes "Don't be a pussy! Join the Marines"
That story won me over. But if the Marines do pan out, I'll go with the Army, and then if that doesn't work the Coast Guard. Either way I am hellbent on joining. Wanted to every since I could walk. Looking back I think it is stupid. |

It's not stupid. If protecting your country is truly something you are adamant about doing, go for it! My step-dad and grandpa were both in the Navy, and I would've followed in their footsteps, but I have asthma.

You can still join. Do you still use your inhaler. And I'm not saying the premise is stupid, I am saying that it is stupid that I chosen that aspiration when I was young and never grew out of it, out of all the other career paths there are.

Nice. Someone else who wants to be enlisted. I'm thinking of being in the Marines myself, then go to Army if i cant do Marines, and if not that, then i guess do community college amd try to get a degree.

I would make the national guard work for you. Speaking that the Army does pan out.

Yeah, true. But i heard it depends on this test you have to take to see which branch you qualify for. Certain branches have certain scores required. I already know Air Force requires a really goodcone to join.

I got a 52 on it the first time I ASVAB'd, but I was like 16/15 so it didn't count, I got a 48 on the real one. It is pretty easy, With like a 50 I think you qualify to join any branch.

I use my inhaler A LOT. Like, I can jog down the block and back, then have an asthma attack. I'm also hypoglycemic.

Hmm, have fun with it. What else causes you to have an asthma attack?

My boyfriend is already enlisted in the army and sometimes it makes me sad, other times I'm really proud. Good on y'all to have that kind of courage. Last week he practiced rappelling off the side of a building and something went wrong for him. He ended up upside down 70 feet above the ground dangling from a rope in a self-made harness. How he can have the courage to do it in the first place, I don't know. What baffles me is that he thought it was fun and wants to do it again.
I wish I could see that meteor shower, it's really cloudy where I am right now. |

My girlfriend constantly worries about me, and when I tell her to try and worry less. She always says she's gonna worry more.
