...in exchange for priceless knowledge to further our understanding of the universe. if you want to complain about money being "wasted," take a look at militaries. |

It's actually a pretty big accomplishment.
Understanding comets could be the key to understanding the creation of life on Earth. |

| I don't know, military spending can be beneficial. Think of all the good things that have sprung off of things developed for the military. And to make this rel event to the discussion, a few million "wasted" on landing on a comet? That is priceless information that can and will further the the knowledge of the human race, and that is more important than anything. |

Chemical composition of comets can help to further understanding of the chemical environment of early Earth, especially since one of the predominant theories for the existence of organic chemicals on Earth is that they came from comets which collided with Earth.
That, and it could reveal quite a bit about the universe itself. |

"Wanna understand the creation of life? Look at Genesis."
The Bible is not sufficient for such claims as for the creation of Earth though.
The Bible.. IS A LIE. |

| Austin, to put it in a biblical sense. Learning more about the comet will reveal more truths of God and his creation. |

| because a book that has been copied, mistranslated, and changed over a course of a few thousand years is CLEARLY more reliable than an unmanned spacecraft collecting possibly a few billion year old data when trying to find out about where we came from |

| God's Word never changes. The KJV is the closest to accurate translation you can get. |

The first, completely accurate bible, was written between 1600-1200 BC. The KJV was written in 1611. That leaves over 2800-3200 years for mistranslation.
"God's Word never changes." How do you know? |

The Bible wasn't fully complete until somewhere around AD 100. The Mazzarites made sure to copy it perfectly. |
