You wake up to rain dripping onto your head. The air is cold and moist, and smells like moss and lichen. You sit on a rock under a tree, while a light rain sprays everything around you. Looking around at your surroundings, you see rocks mounted in patches of turf mixed with dirt, and as the air suggests, there is a thin layer of moss covering everything. You guess you are in Ireland or Scotland, and that this is the first of many storms. You could wait it out and start searching for a source, or you could start now, though it would be hard to find any light in the dark weather. Wait the storm out, or start searching?

No peace comes from waiting it out, I must find the source of the storm. Search.

(You're not searching for the source of the storm, but a light source. :P)
You survey your surroundings, seeing to your front that there is a beach-side town, and of course, next to it is a beach. You could search there. Or, there is a coniferous forest to your left. Behind you and to your right is just a field of small boulders and springy moor grass, with trails winding through it, that maybe you could travel along. Where do you search for your light source? |

As you travel through the moorland, you notice clumps of heather and hear sheep braying in the distance. There's also a bridge extending the trail over a river. The sunlight displays watery patterns against the rocky boundaries of the flowing water. It would be a nice source, and after all, the water isn't flowing too fast at all - it's very peaceful... an adjective that you are partial to. Cross over the bridge, or jump into the source?

You cross the bridge feeling happy and light-hearted, dripping wet from your moment of fun. You begin to see mountains rise up in the distance. The forest extends closer to the path you follow, and a little further ahead intersects with it. You could go to the mountains -- a detour around the edge of the forest looks like the most straight-forward route. Or, you could follow the path and go through the forest to reach the mountains, where you might find something along the way. You could also veer off the path and into the forest, to explore. Choose now.

Follow the path humming lightly to myself. Sometimes following the path others make for you leads to more peace.

After you enter past the line of trees, the path winds to the right. You come to a clearing where there are many bushes of berries. The light bounces off of one, splaying red over a leaf. It would make a good source to jump into. Keep searching, or jump into the red light?

I am afraid, but my mind must remain at peace, and so it is. Walk around to see if I find something.

You pretty much find nothing, but some liquid stains your blob-feet. Inspect it?

Wondering what the strange liquid is I run my hand through it, and inspect it. How it smells, looks up close, and even taste it a little.

(Sorry for a late reply! I've had to go to a violin workshop for a few days for this big program. I just got back.)
The liquid is red, and while it's thicker than water, it is still very runny. It's scent is very metallic. You think you know inside what the substance is, though you're unsure your mind will admit to you the truth. |

The liquid seems to be more as you go forward. It now swamps up to your neck. You see a light underneath the liquid up ahead - maybe you should go to it. The liquid does however seem to be at its highest there; it would be over your head. You could try to swim to it, or just investigate the area around it. What do you do?

At the bottom is a glass trap-door. Light emits through it. Open it, or not?

You fall through the trap-door as the tide of red-liquid drags you through it. You fall onto the yellow sand of a beach. It is deserted, the blue waves lapping across a wide and empty shore. You are covered in the red-liquid. Perhaps you could take a nice relaxing swim to wash it off.

I do so, walk into the beach's salty water. Casually stroking, my head faced up towards the sun.
