A gun with 0 spread would rely completely off of skill.
A gun with 50% spread would rely 50% on skill.
However, a gun with 20 spread and high damage, with a weak long-ranged pistol would rely on tactics.
Swords require slight skill. You can practice swords for hours a day and barely improve, if any at all. Swords require basic knowledge. After that, it relies on timing.

swords require you clicking a mouse and just swinging around a stick
guns require you to have tactics as you have to account for different things like terrain use, distance, type of gun, spread, ect |

As a gun fighter and sword fighter, I say both require skill but in a different way, sword fighting requires ambushing and the ability to fake your opponent, gun fighting takes aim and tactics.

They both require different skills, you can't really compare them.

To be a gun gun fighter, a lot of precision is required, and good tactics are necessary. To be a good sword fighting, a lot of timing is required, and generally having your own style helps.

swords would be skill if the physics were improved a bit more and there would be no lag
but since thats impossible so swords will never be skill

naah trituse it's possible to be good at swords, it's basically tricking people into doing things, like making them go forward or lunge first, then lunging after that and charging forward while doing it, so it doesn't really matter how much damage you take because it'll be way less then how much you deal out, i did it all the time when i sf'd.

@Power, swords require terrain as well, a lot actually at forts.
