I personally think fur's more of a fashion thing for women but still, these are the kind of things I like to talk about.
Basicly, vintage means that it's bought, but not from the company. So they won't benefit from it.
I suppose it's a decent alternative. I'm violently against the fur industries but if you make use to it without giving the industries a benefit...then I suppose I can tolerate it. |

Sure as hell sounds like a classy birthday for my future lover. Without the guilt of contributing to a cruel company.
Hurray for alternative that slap companies in the face. |

Fur industries ain't that bad honestly. Gotta say that if you think they skin the animal alive you're pretty wrong there or you've heard rumors from the unprofessional ones.
Professionals kill the animal painlessly before skinning it and sell the meat to the markets. 'Course if you think that's bad take a good look at fast food companies. Even unprofessional fur industries ain't as bad as them.

It's definitely not my thing, personally. Being male, for one. But also because it's just simply not my thing.
But do I have a problem with it? No, aslong as the company does not benefit. |

Gotta make benefits somehow. I mean what's the point of running an industry where you're not benefited for what you're about?
Well that'd be a charity wouldn't it?

Well, it's sad but I have to agree there. (It's why I prefer biological meat.) However, there are also industries out there that do skin them alive, and they do have a pretty big market depending on the area. |

Well that'd be a charity wouldn't it?'' It has alot to do with the guilt. As much as I'd love to believe it, I highly doubt that they were treated well, regardless of the death being painless or not. Sadly, I also believe this is the case with certain meat industries. |

@ferry
That's true. The people buying it are usually unaware of it too so it kinda sucks.
I'm just glad you're not one of those people preaching about how evil it is and are fine with eating fast food from McDonald's. Those guys are a buncha hypocrites. |

That stuff's becoming incredibly realistic over time. Definitely not a bad alternative. |

That of course does depend on the industry. Some of them raise the animal and treat it with a nice shirt lifetime before putting it out and others just go "Eh, it's gonna die anyway." And don't bother to take care of it.
BUT the buyer would be able to tell if they're smart about this stuff whether the animal was abused or not. |

This is why I don't mind vintage/secondhand fur. And when I live on my own I'm probably gonna eat mostly biological. For me what's of most importance is animal welfare.
Well, with the first one I can't say they were treated well, but as I said, no benefits for the company.
With the second one, however, animals aren't pushed in small cages and forced to live like that only to die in the end. |

Fake fur is a waste of oil, its bad for you and it causes pollution. I cannot wear fake fur or be anywhere near it. it gives me red bumps all up and down my arm |

I support the fur industry, but i still collect vintage furs. I have nine vintage mink furs, four wild fox pelts, a nutria pelt, two deer pelts, 14 fox and misc tails, and an elk hide in the freezer that im going to tan in the summer.
The top three fur exploiters of the world are America, Canada, and Finland. Not china.
