Have you heard of a technology called energy saving lights?
They're dim at first because they need to warm up, and they eventually get to full brightness.

ATTENTION! Their called metal halide lamps. Not CFLS, not florescent lights But sometimes mercury vapor but rarely. Metal halide lamps get so hot they evaporate metal in the arc tube (metal salts) and create intense light. |
