I have a idea where you can dye hats. The basic idea is if you own a hat you can dye it. To do that you go to the page of the item and go under Settings. When you go to settings you will see a option called dye. Clicking that will pop up a box with colors of Roblox's choice. There can be a primary and secondary option. For example, you have the Headrow hat. Well you can choose Red as the primary which turns the head red And the secondary blue Which turns the face blue.dyeing will cost robux. I would say it cost depending on the hat. There will also be some hats you can't dye. Like Ghostdeeri. You cannot dye a hat that has been retextured or made twice. Example: You cannot color a bow, Sinister, Pumpkin, Visor, or any other hats that have been made more than once or hats that roblox does not want dyed. I'd say it would cost more depending on the rarity.
If it was to long then here is what I talked about
I talked about dyeing hats for a certain amount of robux but some hats cannot be dyed.

I support this, along with changing eye color Although there is one problem with this: People can recolor cheap hats like Beautiful hair and recolor it pink so it looks like they have Fuschia Beautiful Hair (which is an expensive limited)
If ROBLOX were to do this, they would have to limit this to only certain hairs or faces.
They could release a special hair mesh that is different from other hairs that is specifically a "dyeable" hair

To the first person that posted
Thanks for supporting but I said in the Original post about certain items that have been retextured or made twice cannot be dyed. |

no its not as simple as you think they'd have to make like 50 more retextures per hat..

what about my idea where Roblox releases a certain hat (hair) that can be dyed and only that hair. This would prevent the mess of retextures because it will be a completely different mesh

| No support, this will take too long to re-texture. |

| Changing a color of a hat is simple. They don't need to remake the whole hat, just change the dang color. |

i think by dyeing he just means adding a color layer (similar to terraria)
also the secondary color thing would be extremely hard |

| Great Idea! But, what if someone colored their standard BC hard hat orange and black to make it TBC? O.O |

Well maybe for ONLY hats that can actually have this ability.
That'll be great for me. |

"they'd have to make like 50 more retextures per hat.."
One each. They would have to make semi transparent textures.
Still no support.
Too much work. Roblox depends too much on retextured objects for this to work. |
