| Why don't aspiring developers just get a general idea of what people in the clan community make and make something better out of it? |

| Well unclear wanted to make something different in which no developer can "spend" 2 weeks and be generic all over again |

With this mindset we might as well just all quit clans and join RCL.
We do it because we want something different, not because we wanted to be the same. |

| Yes, but if it's "generic" as you say, but if they spice it up a little bit, people will adapt to it much quicker and still show interest in the technology. Wouldn't it be a bit more efficient? |

because less is better 100 clans with the same tech is worse than 1 clan with different tech
