| Which one should I get and why? Keep in mind that I'm going from an iPhone 5 to one of these three phones. Thanks! |

Either the S5 or Note 4.
The Note 4 is a solid upgrade over the Note 3, and worth it
Honestly, i'd wait for the S6 over the S5. |

| I would start with an S2 seeing as you're previous phone was the iPhone 4. Anything newer such as the S3 would be a far too advanced leap. |

| Coming from a regular 5, which I currently have, he shouldn't go to a 2011 phone that is hard to find today. I used to have an S2, and he wants to upgrade to the latest thing, and really it only seems like he's willing to go for the three options he presented. |

@DelfierVaktovian
I mean, if you guys have another suggestion and a good reason why, then I'll think about it. But these are the three phones that I'm trying to make a decision on. |

I think if you really want to stick with the latest from Samsung, who truly leads android and will give you the best experience, you should made good choices in those three phones.
The S5 was essentially a polishing of the 4, and a much improved camera/features, not to mention extra hardware features and some improve quality (except on the bezel, my mom has an S5 and I can tell you it feels cheaper) Overall, most people agree the S5 isn't a completely necessary upgrade, and you'll see more improvements with the S6 compared to the 5. It didn't sell as well as expected, but it's one of those phones that sells better over time imo. |

| It would be nice if it but stuff on it won't work right and it lags on some stuff that's why |

| Honestly, if the camera's only just a little better then it doesn't convince me. I'm not that into taking pictures with phones and certainly not into selfies. I also do photographing as a hobby, you know, with those actual high quality cameras with lenses that zoom in and out that you see professionals use. So unless the camera truly is that big of an improvement, then I don't care. |

Touchwiz isn't as bad as people make it seem I'd wait for the Android L final release, it will be great.
Also, the Note 4 doesn't "lag" as much as the Note 3 would. My mom also has a Note 3 and it isn't bad at all.
And I have to say the S2 is kind of comparable to a regular iPhone 5, just not in speed and quality, but, sadly, Apple is still at an S3 level right now. I mean iOS 8 just introduced typing suggestions. TYPING SUGGESTIONS. |

I know Apple is behind, and I honestly think they're just intentionally not keeping up because all of their fanboys (or should I say fangirls) are going to buy their products anyway. That's why I'm looking for something to upgrade to from an iPhone 5 lol. |

tl;dr - the note 4 is a really solid improvement over the 3
Also, the Nexus 6 can't really compare too well to Samsung's current offerings. btw, it wasn't just the camera that was a big improvement from the S4 to S5, just one of the main ones. Nonetheless, the S5 kind of feels like a filler until the S6 comes out, and i'm not alone in that, hence lowered sales, etc. |

@Rilpo
The Note 3 and the Note 4 both fit in my pocket (just barely, but they do fit). So being portable isn't a concern for me, they're also not too big for my hands either. |
