Yes, I an suggesting that people who scam others on roblox can have legal action taken against them In real life.

Basically, all items on roblox have a real cash value. The dev ex system has made it possible for people to earn real money from their efforts on roblox, therefore giving them a real value.
It's like if someone came up to you and stole your wallet. That is obviously illegal and they will be punished by law (if/when caught).

I'm simply suggesting that the scammers get REAL punishments. Think of it this way: if they are banned (probably on an alt in the first place), what would stop them from scamming in the future on a new account? ROBLOX doesn't IP ban much anymore, so they will just make a new account. However, if they were fined in real life as well as banned, it would teach them not to scam. Also, this way their parents (assuming they are under 18) would find out about it and be able to talk to them about it.

Scamming isn't okay, and with the recent rise in scamming (at least that's what I noticed), roblox needs to find a real solution to end it or at least lessen it.

My suggestion is that however much a person scams (goes by RAP due to changing values) is how much they get fined. If a person scams 100k RAP which is worth $250 dev exed, they should be fined $250 and banned from Roblox.

Scamming over virtual pixelated items should be taken to court.
The court will, more than likely, laugh at you.

No, not to court necessarily but I'm just saying that if there is solid proof that someone scammed you, you should be able to take legal action and have them fined for the items stolen, then roblox would ban them and return your items. If roblox did something like this, there would be almost no scammers because they would be afraid of being fined.

There's a precedent for this kind of thing, actually.

A guy spent the night at his girl's house, and they had an argument. While she was sleeping, he got on her Runescape account and traded all her gold (several million gp) to other people. She took legal action, and the guy was made to pay a whopping 16£. Sixteen whole pounds.

Yup.

Yes bug they have a real life value due to the dev ex system. So basically it's just like if they stole your money irl. For example of a major scam was with HunterNoey (I think.thats his name). He scammed like emp, inf, frig, lotf, dotf, etc. He has so far gotten away with it too. (if I'm thinking of the wrong person then my bad)

16 pounds for 7mil gold
If that's the case then this idea would only pay you 1 - 2 dollars maybe less

@MrPhelps
Well, then it does seem possible then. However, Roblox currency has a set value.

Well, a single robuck is worth more than a single runescape gold.

Here is some food for thought...
-you can sue anybody for any reason, doesn't mean you`ll win though
-it cost more than the item(s) you were scammed for to set up the court case
-kids can't sue kids, only their parents and most likely that won't happen

Blackstride makes a good point. You'll most likely lose money during this process.

Furthermore,
There is a difference between respecting and fearing, ROBLOX doesn't want kids crying themselves to sleep because they have some kid telling them they will be mailed a lawsuit by the end of the month

No mate ... most of these people don't have jobs including me so no ... unless they did something like Exploiting or hacking the site or something on those lines.

A maze can be confusing just like life ... you don't know where to turn to next.

Support.
And if they hacked/exploited, ROBLOX itself should contribute to the cost of setting up the court.

@zombieslayer
Like I said, study about the rules of filing a lawsuit.

"First off, it is important to decide whether or not the compensation is worth the lawsuit; in cases of small claims, the compensation might not amount to much and can be even less regarding the legal dues. However, for claims of property or wrongdoing in which there are higher compensation standards, the individual has every right to sue."
TL;DR chances of winning such a case is small

"A child, or a person who is not capable of managing their affairs, must start, defend, contest, or respond to a proceeding by a named litigation guardian, or a
guardian under the Guardianship Act or the Incompetent Persons Act"
TL;DR you need a legal parent or guardian to approve this and attend the case

In court cases you also need proof. The most you, as the attacker, can provide is a screenshot of the ROBLOX trade.

Also it is not like someone stole your money irl because the currency called Robux is owned by Roblox and can be terminated at any time. Roblox is the one who has to take action not the law.

R$ value is 10% compared to real money.
100 r$ is 1 dollar.
