Just send in the 1st Marine Division and in 3 weeks ISIS will either be obliterated or running for the hills in which they were conceived.
Honestly, airstrikes and un-trained civilians won't do anything, do you all remember the gulf war? We killed 10's of thousands of troops at the cost of only 86 US lives, and not to mention, most of America agrees we need to send in more troops.
Obama probably would have sent troops too, had he not spoken stupidly when ISIS was on the rise; "We will NOT be sending US troops".
US troops on the ground will do so much, like:
1. Demoralize the ISIS troops who now have to fight the greatest military on the planet. 2. Save tons of civilian lives. 3. End this insurgency much quicker. 4. People will regain trust in the govt. somewhat, seeing as they'd be doing something we actually WANT them to do. 5. American morale on the rise. 6. Allies who are also anti-ISIS would strongly approve. 7. Obama's approval ratings (which he seems to really care about) will rise. 8. American nationalism justifiable yet again.
support???

"because you're 12"
Speaking out of your ass again assalto? Why don't you read what I've just posted, re-assess the current situation with ISIS, and then say something less stupid than what you normally post.

Maybe if you decided to take a look at our previous history in countries like Iraq, Afghanistan, you would know that militia can prove to be extremely effective when it comes to defending a nation.
They know the lands, we don't.
Taking down headquarters and outposts over in the middle east won't kill ISIS mate, I'm sure they already have cells inside the United States, and probably around the globe.
And don't just go blame Obama, there are ways he can be overpowered by Congress and things of that matter |

| I'm totally for the U.S., but we have an infantry being outdated. Look at Israel. They have a full mock city to practice city warfare. The U.S. needs to follow if we're to successfully combat terrorism. Along with that, every time we go into combat, we're heavily criticized for "getting into other people's problems." |

Assalto, tons of americans including military personnel have been pressing for the government to send troops there for a while now.

You're thinking of Ukraine, so to quote yourself 'please dont make assumptions when you dont know the full story'
@whoever said they know the land
I'm pretty sure they aren't the master pathfiners of their only-recently captured land that has tons of civilians who already hate them and wouldn't mind helping the US military learn the land a bit.

keep in mind, most isis soldiers grew up in the middle east, so their instincts of where to go generally are better, and quicker, even if locals are helping out
but i'm not going to get into a political debate or argument because then it takes forever for it too end
