I'm scared out of my mind for someone I care for, I don't want her to get Ebola
I think its very strange that I chose Ebola for my biology project. Then a week later I left the country to another country 7,600 miles away.
Very strange.
I also think how's its strange that I broke my collar bone right before I left the country, and a brother like teammate asked out someone I loved.
Strange.

Because my opinion is: If you die, you die. You won't know, because you're dead. Make the most of the life you currently have, and joke about everything.
I'm watching ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) |

Grim
What I mean is.
Imagine this
When life is raining and cloudy, dance in the puddles
I tell people my life story and they break down crying because it is so sad, yet they wonder why i am so happy
Life is hard yes, but the strong prevail, and those select few are there to help others finish the journey of life

I knew what it meant, was just dabbling at some morbid humour, make of it what you will.
Dance in the puddles though? I'd rather sing in the rain *cue Gene Kelly* |

And also to those who take Ebola lightly.
A message: I wish to crush your windpipe under the heel of my foot and give you pain until you beg for mercy and repent of your mockery at Ebola
Imagine your daughter in hospital with Ebola. Imagine the pain of the mother/fathers heart, he would mourn and Grove for his child, yet you laugh at the very cause of his misery

Now the topic is about idiots who make fun of Ebola
The topic is not about me or my maturity, if you continue to deviate from the topic of the thread, I will report you. |

"Now the topic is about idiots who make fun of Ebola"
I'd argue making fun of Ebola is good for society. The fact is, most western countries are doing their best to contain, cure and correct this global health issue.
Just as with terrorism, if we use humour to demote the seriousness of it, then the "politics of fear" is negated. E.g. the whole point of terrorism IS to scare us, to cause TERROR. If we reduce it to a series of jokes for our entertainment, surely the terrorists have failed? A similar concept applies to Ebola.
Now would I joke about it to a victim's face? No. Would I mind if somebody joked about it to my face if I had it? No. A sense of humour is key no matter what you're going through in life; in fact, laughing about the situation often has the psychological effect of making it easier to ward off the illness i.e. I once read that 80% of cancer survival of mental attitude of the patient. Not sure on the accuracy of that data, but the point still stands.
Plus, this is an online forum for citizens the world over, and is hosted in a democratic country (the USA) - surely he has the right to freedom of speech? They aren't actively targeting an individual, they're just having some fun. If you don't want to be offended by Ebola related comments a) why read them? and b) why start a thread that basically encourages more people to talk about it? |

That's an interesting point of view.

| Plus the common flu kills more people each year than ebola ever could. I don't see why everyone is getting so worked up about it... |
