"About 50% of christians accept it"
Stop right there. Christians are the ones who oppose the bing bang. If I was a moderator I'd shut down this thread because of that mediocre statement. |

The big bang is a theorized outward expulsion of energy that created all matter in the universe.
It's technically an explosion. |

@Ben
Well in that case I apologize for my statement beforehand.
The thing is though, Christians base their beliefs off the Bible, where it specifically states, "God created the heavens and the Earth." Yes I would know because, well, I'm Christian myself.
So if it states that, why would they go and say otherwise. Are you sure they were Christian? |

| The BBT explains the beginning of the universe. We have other concepts for that. Nothing blew up/exploded, the big bang was an expansion of spacetime. |

@AX
The thing is though, judging from your statement, the bing bang created matter.
If matter is everything, and the bing bang created it, then what could've caused this "explosion?"
Explosion happens because of violent changes in matter. |

| Well, according to the theory, at the time, there were four possible types of matter: cold dark matter, warm dark matter, hot dark matter, and baryonic matter. |

In my theory, the big bang was cause by the collapse of the previous universe into itself, much like a black hole. It became so dense and hot that it erupted and created a new universe.
Hence the phrase "let there be light" in the Bible. The "light" was the Big Bang that created the universe as we know it. |

| I honestly don't believe in the Big Bang, I have my own theory on how the Universe was created, I would tell you guys but it takes about 10 minutes just to type the whole thing out. It is also very confusing. |

@AX Okay I'll try to explain it the best I can. It is pretty similar to what you said, but a little different.
So I thought of this awhile ago when we were learning about Astronomy and how stars will die and when they die they trigger the creation of other stars (not all the time, but they usually do). I also looked at how animals live to create more life then they die. I think the universe just works that way, everything dies and creates new things to replace it. (This part I don't totally know about, since it involves black holes) Black holes never really go away, they suck things in, go to sleep, and wake up again. Like an off and on cycle. And in this cycle they discharge the things they consumed. Since they don't really go away I think that eventually, when this universe ends, there will be too many black holes and they would just suck each other up until they are too massive and discharge the things they consumed just like the smaller black holes. The part that I have not actually been able to explain is the official start of the universe since in my theory it dies and is reborn, but maybe it was just always here, there is no start nor end.
How come I can't do this on my school essays? |
