The only people I see making games these days are the people who know enough about scripting to do what is needed to make the game look good compared to robloxs normal standards.
But than theres people like this guy that go and make those standards look like trash.
So what I'm saying is why don't one of these people make a game?

Because he's an undercover ROBLOX employee that's a C++ dev but he doesn't know C++ so he makes games with Lua.
Or just one of us that actually cares.

He does make games, and a lot of games you see contain work by him.
He's a math genius. |

Because actually making a game requires another skillset entirely. Skills like knowing how to plan development and using ideas/inspiration to make something useful, and most importantly, actually making the game instead of spending time thinking how you could make games better than a particular other robloxian could. That's the hardest part. Actually making a full game and not just some sort of tech-demo, which is what mostly seems to happen with people here. Not trying to point out anyone specific, because there are exceptions as always. Hopefully you'll understand now. |

filiptibell hit the nail on the head. That skillset required is called "willingness to put effort into something that isn't always fun."
That's why now what I do is help out actual game developers to do things that they hate that I find fun.
Games I've worked on Whatever Floats your Boat Rain Bullet tracers Camera recoil Mouse sensitivity Help with networking Trade enterprise II Much of the physics mathematics behind the ship Other games by Quenty General camera mechanics Phantom-Forces by Lito Pretty much all of the underlying code for the animation. (Not the actual animation) The walking animation for the gun Games by Nethergames Mouse sensitivity SoundCrusher Help on animations
