When your goals are met, and you have to set new ones.
Ergo, that project is completed, and a new one begins.

Improvements are just updates to a finished product.
Something finished has all the essentials and is playable |

@iso
eh but that only applies to a really small scope
what about scripting library projects? building projects? model projects? etc?
there isnt anything playable about those, but they are still valid projects |

@lejam
"main components" is really sort of a bad definition because its toooooo vague
what determines a component as a main one?

"im almost certain that would be the same project just under another iteration / update
aka not done"
let me rephrase that
all phases of your project are completed. for example, if you are starting a clan, then your first "project" persay would be like getting a fort, training center, a logo, and ads done for launch. the "launch project" would be complete. then, you move on to a new project.
in my case(As a graphic designer), i count every piece i do as it's own project. once i'm happy with how it turned out, i upload it to my portfolio, and move on to the next project.

@chemist
but what defines done
for example, most people want to makes games is it done when it is playable? if so, why do people improve upon it if its already done? things that are completed are finished, and finish is defined as "an end or final part or stage of something."
aka improving upon something suggests that it isnt done... |

| @Unclear It depends on what YOU want to be the main components, such as if its a game about tacos, you obviously want to have tacos in it. |

@arch
so would you say project is a sort of organizational term?
if so, then cant we split up projects into infinitely more projects?
why do people consider entire tasks as projects? for example, a fort is a project, but there are projects within that project.
would that mean that i have finished an infinite amount of projects and likewise failed to complete an infinite amount of projects? |

@lejam
going off of that example, would my game be done if i just put in a single part with a taco mesh in it
at what point is that project done, if at all |

Hey unclear. How do you define if you have finished a game? Or a specific area in development for Arke? As it can always can be improved lets say you have it and its working though. How do you define its finished/ready to be used?
