| Just like to say goodbye to all my fellow bronies because I feel like it's time to move on from MLP to different shows. I just don't like it anymore for some reason, Sure the animation is top notch but I'm getting tired with the obvious plot's... |

YAY, ANOTHER EX BRONY!
You left because of the show, I left because of the fandom...
then soon after I discovered the show is trash, so... kinda on the same page
I don't know, it was kinda over-glorified enough to get me to watch it from season 1 to season beginning of 4.
yeah, I stayed that long and remembered the Gak commercials
I liked the positive messages that came with the show in season one when Faust worked on it. First I saw a meme about the show. I read her article on Ms. Magazine about the characters on the show mid season 2-3 pause. That's when I knew it was all gonna get worse each season. Apparently members of the fandom learned nothing from it. They were overzealous and flamed every show disliker. They made raip jokes with Celestia despite the show being feminist based. Worst of all they sxualized the characters(I know I'm gonna get crap for this claiming I'm a "kink shamer"). Things started to fall into place. I cringed at myself for even watching it. People would tell me that "it's the internet". That this kind of stuff was normal and I best not to sweep a dirt road. No. This is the hypocrisy I don't like taking from anyone. Bronies spent 350,000$ on a documentary on themselves with their huge ego, then sweep all this other stuff under the rug? No. It's too much to put up with.
I contemplated leaving the fandom since the beginning of 2013(Which is after Sandy so I remember rather clearly). I started to note the show wasn't even that good. Plot inconsistencies spanned over an entire season. And character development sucked. Plus, dues ex machina endings anyone? Again, the hypocrisy: saying "this is a deep show" then saying "well what do you expect it's for kids" when you're backed into a corner. Bronies think we hate them for being nerds. Nope, That's not the reason at all, it's more like being a mindless fan-boy. That's rock bottom for me. There are only few bronies I respect, and that's because they're cool with my opinions(something which most bronies can't handle).
That's pretty much it. Why I became an ex-brony just like you.

TL;DR: The show got worse after Faust stopped working on it The fandom is misogynist and overzealous. The show has bad writing if you look at it. Bronies are hypocrites.

To be honest, I think the show got somewhat better in some aspects when Faust left. Yes, there were more plot inconsistencies, but any show is going to have its hiccups here and there. I think that, while Faust was and still is an amazing writer, perhaps one of the best, she lacks one key element that can be a crucial downfall for many writers: subtlety. Don't get me wrong, her plot lines were top-notch and many still regard the first season as the best for her having an inclusion in it, but in my opinion she works better as a director than an actual writer. I would have preferred if she didn't leave the show, but I don't think she should write the intricacies of the plot herself. She belongs more as an overseer to the whole process, providing guidelines and outlines. This, I feel, is where Faust manages to shine through in her quality.
But, as you said, that's just my opinion, and you're entitled to your own just as I'm entitled to mine. I simply wish to offer a bit of a second opinion on my part. Besides, I have fun writing these walls of text that elaborate upon my opinion, and that's really what matters to me. |

Meh, I admit I liked the show but only because it was popular at the time in my school and you were cool if you knew about it. After I watched the show for myself, I was out. |

I don't think there are any textbook bronies left. I still identify with the fandom, but I haven't bothered watching the show since Bronyland's episode listing was wiped from the internet. Mostly, I just read and write fan-fiction.
I won't say they're dead, but their silence is soothing. |

"What about Furries?" What about furries? They aren't overzealous, overbearing, misogynist, ego-inflated, pretentious asstowns. |
