An IQ score is scaled the same for everyone, regardless of age. A score of 100 is average, with 90 through 109 being the "average range". Most people will fall into that range, no matter how many times they take a valid and reliable IQ instrument. Branching out from average 80 - 89 is "low average" and 110-119 is "high average". Continuing on, a score of 70-79 is a "borderline" IQ, meaning probably a person with some developmental disabilities. A score of 120-129 is "superior" and above 130 is "very superior". Below 70 is an "extremely low" IQ.
so 130 is "very superior". |
