<-- unlike me
some review in my pre-calc book and I forgot how to do it
QUESTION:
The growth of a red oak tree is approximated by the function:
G = -0.003t^3 + 0.137t^1 + 0.458t - 0.839
where G is the height of the tree (in feet) and t (2 ≤ t ≤ 34) is its age (in years). Use a graphing utility to graph the function and estimate the age of the tree when it is growing most rapidly. This point is called the "point of diminishing returns" because the increase in growth will be less with each additional year. (Hint: Use a viewing window in which 0 ≤ x ≤ 35 and 0 ≤ y ≤ 60. |

G = -0.003t^3 + 0.137t^2 + 0.458t - 0.839 ****
T^2, not T^1. |

| I don't get it because i'm pretty sure a lot of jobs you won't need to know this to get that job, so like why don't they just teach this in university/college for certain jobs that actually need this type of math. |
