--[Introduction]: I MarioTLincoln as VCSAF have released this guide to AFSOC to help those who wish to join and those who require training. --[Uniforms]: To become AFSOC you must be trained and the only way to be trained is if you have the AFSOC TRUSPEC. We don't care what type of TRUSPEC, it just can't be combats. -PJ Combats: The PJ Combats are labeled with a PJ Patch and are to be worn by PJ only. -CCT Combats: The CCT Combats are labeled with a CCT Patch and are to be worn by CCT only. --[Training/Selections]: TRUSPEC must be worn to train or attend a selection. You must also be bald to train or attend a seletion. No exceptions. AFSOC Staff will follow the same conduct but will wear their Division's Beret. Those who go to Selections to get into AFSOC, MUST be E4 (Senior Airman/Sergeant) or higher to participate. There are three types of Selection procedures: -AFSOC Upper Staff Selections: These are hosted only by the AFSOC CO, AFSOC XO, and AFSOC CMSgt. No one else. These selections are for all of AFSOC, meaning you can get into any unit except for 19th ASOS and 24th STS. -AFSOC Middle Staff Selections: These are hosted by Division CO's and XO's. Division CO's and XO's can only host for their division. Meaning you can get into any Unit under their command. -AFSOC Lower Staff Selections: These are hosted by Unit CO's and XO's. Unit CO's and XO's can only host for their unit. Meaning you can only get into that unit. --[Operations]: Operations will be conducted after briefing at JFKSWC. Once briefing is concluded you will be placed to the Operation location. Only AFSOC CO/XO/CMSgt and 24th CO/XO can host OPs. --[Patrols]: Patrols can be hosted by Unit XO+. --[Communications]: Communications throughout the staff (Upper, Middle, Lower) will be communicated over Skype. As of 1/5/2014 6:47AM CST, all AFSOC Staff must have Skype and have contacted the AFSOC CO on his Skype. PM the AFSOC CO for his Skype (AFSOC Staff ONLY). --[Paygrade Standard]: Any and all Operators within AFSOC MUST be at the set paygrade of E4 or higher. Anyone not meeting this requirement will be moved to Unit Selection until he or she has become an E4 with which they will then be placed back in the Unit they were removed from. --[Meetings]: Meetings of any sort will be conducted at the AFSOC Meeting Center. -Unit CO/XO: Unit COs and XOs can host Meetings for their unit if something must be discussed AFSOC wise. -Division CO/XO: Division COs and XOs can host Meetings for their division if something must be discussed AFSOC wise. -AFSOC CO/XO/CMSgt: The AFSOC CO, XO, or CMSgt can host Meetings for all AFSOC Staff (Unit XO+) if something must be discussed AFSOC wise. --[AFSOC Sup-Groups]: AFSOC will now have five new sup-groups concerning CCT, PJ, STTS, and 724th. -CCT Group: The CCT group will only contain CCT Unit members and AFSOC Staff along with SOCOM and AF Staff. This group will be split in two parts but will not be branched out into further sub-groups concerning CCT Units. -PJ Group: The PJ group will only contain PJ Unit members and AFSOC Staff along with SOCOM JCS and AF JCS Staff. This group will be split in three parts but will not be branched out into further sub-groups concerning PJ Units. -STTS Group: The STTS group will only contain new Unit Selection members and AFSOC Staff. This group is meant to better train our new Unit Selectees. Is yet to be activated. -724th Special Tactics Group: A new division to come for 24th STS and 724th OSS. -724th Operations Support Squadron: New unit to come. --[Basic Info]: CCT means Combat Control Team, they are the ones who go on operations. PJ means Pararescue Jumper, they are the ones who go on Kandahar and heal people missing limbs with the medkit. Even though their jobs are different, CCT can heal people and PJs can go on operations. The load is shared within AFSOC. The berets worn by CCT have a circular shaped CCT Logo on them. The PJ ones have a oval shaped PJ Logo on them. Once you have undergone training you are allowed to wear the beret of your division. Once you are a full fledged AFSOC member, your AFSOC uniform and USAF formals will be the only clothes you should wear other than USA Agency uniforms or suits for formal occasions. But when on duty as military personnel you must always have either the AFSOC uniform or USAF formals. Signed, VCSAF MarioTLincoln |
