After losing to BC, they were done.
But now...
Arizona upset Oregon, and USC is still around 15-20 in polls. If USC can SOMEHOW beat UCLA, ND, and Arizona, they will once again have a golden chance to make the top 4 as #3-#4 most likely.
ND is #9 right now, and UCLA is #8, so wins against those teams would shoot USC up the polls.
I know USC has a 1% chance of beating both those teams, but a man can dream. -sigh- |

If Wash. St beat USC, I would cry..
Losing to BC AND WSU would be painful as a fan. |

Yeah I just looked them up, when I was comparing strength of the Pac-12 compared to SEC and ACC.
There isn't really a team in the Pac-12 who you just roll over every year. The two 2-3 teams in the Pac-12 are WSU and Colorado. WSU almost beat Oregon, and Rutgers. (They also beat Utah)
Colorado beat Hawaii and lost to Cal in 2OT. Everybody else in the Pac-12 is 3-1 at the least.
Meanwhile, the SEC have Vanderbilt and Tennessee, and the ACC has Syracuse and Wake Forest.
Before you say "well the ACC has the same records pretty much as the Pac-12", the ACC hasn't come too close to winning a game against a better team. |
