Let's take a random quality Android phone. I like the Nexus 5 so we'll go with that.
"Retina" display? Nexus 5 (445 ppi) > iPhone 6 (326-401 ppi) RAM? Nexus 5 (2 GB) > iPhone 6 (1 GB) Camera? Nexus 5 (8 MP) = iPhone 6 (8 MP) CPU? Nexus 5 (Quad-core 2.3 GHz) > iPhone 6 (Dual-core 1.4 GHz) Price? Nexus 5 (~$350) > iPhone 6 (~$850)
So you're literally paying $500 more for a crappier phone. Freaking half a grand you're throwing in the toilet!
How can people be this stupid? |

its because apple did this -
they only actually took time and effort to make a good phone, so everyone bought it
then they start making the crappier products, and the people who bought that good phone, think the crappier products are also good
its business |

Windows fanboy alert. I proved my claim and you're calling me a "fanboy" for it. That just shows that you don't care about evidence. Which is the definition of a fanboy. Someone who loves their favorite company and will defend it despite truth and evidence.
>"also my friend paid 200 for his"
You pay $200 but then you have to get a contract to where you are essentially making payments on it over and over again for the next few years.
Everyone pays $850 for their phone, they just might not pay for it all upfront. Nothing is free.
>"the only thing i miss from iphones after switching to android is cydia :("
Cydia... isn't that just an app that lets you install homebrew apps? Android isn't locked, so you can install homebrew apps without needing to do anything. |

Yep, that was the joke "Windows fanboy alert. I proved my claim and you're calling me a "fanboy" for it. That just shows that you don't care about evidence. Which is the definition of a fanboy. Someone who loves their favorite company and will defend it despite truth and evidence." |

It's a stupid preference. Subject X may prefer a society to where they can freely kill whoever they wish, but it doesn't make subject X's preference any less stupid.

why is it stupid because there's something better? there are numerous businesses that prefer windows xp to windows 7, even after microsoft stopped support for it are they stupid for preferring to use something more convenient over something more innovative why involve yourself in the affairs of others

Can you not read?
>"because there's something better?"
Yes. Preferring something that is objectively worse and is objectively
>"there are numerous businesses that prefer windows xp to windows 7, even after microsoft stopped support for it"
Not heard of this. Most people who use XP in businesses just haven't upgraded yet. If the business isn't upgrading simply because they're too lazy to learn how Windows 7 works, then they're just being lazy. And being lazy is stupid and bad for business because Windows 7 computers are more efficient.
>"are they stupid for preferring to use something more convenient over something more innovative"
If by "more convenient" you mean they're too stupid to learn how to use another OS, then yes, they're stupid. If I gave you a ten $100 bills to replace your ten $1 bills and you said that you preferred ten $1 bills because they're easier to carry, I'd say you're stupid.
It's objectively better and you shouldn't so that freaking lazy.

I'd rather have facts over your glorified opinions
"Yes. Preferring something that is objectively worse and is objectively [missing a word I guess]" "Not heard of this. Most people who use XP in businesses just haven't upgraded yet. And being lazy is stupid and bad for business because Windows 7 computers are more efficient. "
It's not laziness, it's convenience That's like saying that an 80 year old man is too lazy to learn Windows 7 due to his preference of Windows XP If he finds Windows 7 too complicated at the time, he's going to use what gets the job done, not what's faster and overall better
"If by "more convenient" you mean they're too stupid to learn how to use another OS, then yes, they're stupid. If I gave you a ten $100 bills to replace your ten $1 bills and you said that you preferred ten $1 bills because they're easier to carry, I'd say you're stupid. "
Definitely not what I meant That comparison is far off from what I said, and from what you said And once again, it's better to use what gets the job done fastest, not what using the highest upgraded software on the market
Have you even considered that people bought the iPhone for reasons other than what you said

So it's my opinion now that the Nexus 5 has better specs? Okay, you're clearly just trolling me at this point.
>"That's like saying that an 80 year old man is too lazy to learn Windows 7 due to his preference of Windows XP"
Yes, it's pretty lazy. If he has Windows 7, there's no point in not just using Windows 7. It literally requires 0 effort to learn to use it. Windows 7 isn't difficult.
>"If he finds Windows 7 too complicated at the time, he's going to use what gets the job done, not what's faster and overall better"
Except it isn't. It's the same exact processes, and Windows 7 is actually faster. The search feature to find an application or a file on Windows XP takes ages. On Windows 7, a few seconds. On Windows 8, instantly.
>"And once again, it's better to use what gets the job done fastest, not what using the highest upgraded software on the market"
The best software and hardware = what gets the job done the fastest
You're literally saying that it's intelligent to wipe your ass with $100 bills if it's more convenient than using toilet paper because there's none in the bathroom at the moment.
That's literally your line of reasoning. How can you not see how stupid this is?
You're honestly trying to tell me that spending half a grand more on a phone that is significantly worse in specs is justified because the user would have to... what? Look at different icons for apps?
Seriously, the experience is almost identical. You're just a moron.
>"Have you even considered that people bought the iPhone for reasons other than what you said"
Yep. I can bet you my life's savings that at least 80% of the people who own iPhones don't use it for anything more than just texting, making basic calls, playing a few occasional games to pass time, take pictures, and look things up on the internet.
All these can be done with equal ease for half a grand less.
Your "justification" for spending 133% more in price is that the user would have to learn to click different icons.
That's just so absurdly stupid. Your opinions are stupid. |

1. It's your opinion that people are stupid to prefer something familiar to something innovative. I haven't said anything about the specifications of the Nexus.
2. Once again, you are not taking into account the fact that he is 80 and hypothetically would take a longer time to learn Windows 7. You're basically calling an old man stupid for being an old man. The learning curve for older people is far larger than it would be for a younger person in most cases, not even including those that would have Alzheimer's or any other disease that could potentially effect memory.
3. A true fact, although I don't recall directly referencing the specifications of either software. Once again, I'm talking about preference, not specifications. The manner in which I used the term "faster" referred to how familiar one was with the software, not how fast the actual software is.
4. Except, in that case, given the primordial position that toilet paper would be in compared to the $100 bill, Windows XP would be given the role of the toilet paper, and Windows 7 would be the bill. It would, therefore, be more convenient to continue using toilet paper (Windows XP) instead of upgrading to using paper bills (Windows 7+). You've unintentionally proven my point.
Overall, it's obvious you're either trying to derail the argument or you haven't read any of my previous posts, so I'll just make this clear.
Your predetermined notions of me basing this argument on the price or technology of either phone are extraneous, as are your convoluted examples you continue to snatch out of thin air. So save your breath and stop wasting my time; we're talking about personal preference, not costs, nor specifications. If you can't give me an argument where you don't reference the specifications and/or costs of both phones to save your ass, you shouldn't bother continuing. And as for your little rant about my opinions being stupid, if anyone with a different opinion relative to yours is stupid, the galaxy must revolve around you every year mate.

Ok here is how to stop this flame war.
The iPhone 6 owners aren't stupid, just uninformed. They believe Apple is the best because of it's simple design. The reason why apple makes it cost so much money is because of it's consumers being uninformed of the rest of the specifications. Their buyers have simple judgement, (Shinier = Better, Beefier = Faster, Expensive = Premium).
Dual Core 64-Bit doesn't mean a good thing. 1 GB of RAM isn't enough to actually take advantage of 64-bit. Dual Core isn't even good enough for 64-bit.
Quad Core with 4 GB of RAM and 4K Screen Resolution would be an iPhone that would be worth 649$.
But sadly...
The OP is right. iPhone buyers are stupid in the entirety...
Now iPad, iPad Mini, and iPod can be saved for another time.

When you come down to it, a phone having all these super fancy technical details is meaningless if they can't send nor recieve calls or text messages.
It's not like you use all the capabilities your Android phone has, why get all pretentious about it? They're just phones. They're fancy, yes, but phones in the end.

snail.
You are so right but.
Remember.
This is the internet. In the TRUE ending. iPhones are too expensive for what gets shoved inside and sometimes the Best Android phones cost the least (OnePlus, Moto X, Nexus 5).
Every iPhone is almost the same. They messed the 6 up. If Apple wants to be so picture perfect then they should actually be it.
Their Apple Watch is rumored for 350$ (But it can currently do more than an Android Wear watch) iPhone 6 may have NFC but NFC has been around for 5 years.
The finger-print scanner was on an Android phone, it just never caught on.
As you can see here folks. The iPhone is the same phone with little to no change.
But I don't understand.
Activision.
You could have developed Swap-Force for the Nexus 7, yet you wait for the iPad Air to be released to do it.
EVEN COMPANIES FALL TO THE MIX OF APPLE FANDOM. |
