Did you learn all of what you know via the Wiki? I'm somewhat of a beginner computer programmer - I've taken the JavaScript course at Codecademy- and I'm interested in learn ROBLOX Lua. I know some of the basics, but could you direct me to any useful courses etc that you took to allow you to script? I imagine you probably picked off some stuff from other scripts too. |

"I've taken the JavaScript course at Codecademy"
if you learned from CodeAcademy you didn't learn it, go read a real JavaScript book
also @ the OP
after you learn the basics you sort of unlock everything you didnt know in the wiki and it becomes an invaluable resource
pighead10, friaza, and peasfactory on youtube also help a lot of people |

I sort of get around by learning off of the Lua docs every now and then if there's something I need that I haven't seen yet. Generally, the Wiki is just a go-to resource for knowing what you can or can't do with something, even if you never -learn- anything from it
If I have to be completely honest with you, I never learnt Lua apart from the colons. The rest of it was familiar from python and C# (And vaguely, javascript but eh I hate javascript) |
