but the average modern base today is simply way too easy?
this is just my opinion but i think that most bases nowadays barely give any challenge at all - literally all you need to do in an every day 20 player server is simply preflood with people who aren't completely clueless in fighting with a couple decent ones and run them over in a 14v6
i personally believe that forts should prioritize making it a CHALLENGE to raid their fort without making it impossible - and that would become a true testament of group skill
what i think is that because people are so used to pre flooding a server and winning 70% just through that numerical advantage, when they come to an actually challenging fort, they complain endlessly because they're not used to actually applying and disciplining teamwork and tactics when raiding (and teamwork and tactics does not just mean "TERM TERM TERM TERM" when raiders are near the terminal, and nor is assigning people meaningless positrons that are completely arbitrary and don't actually contribute to winning)
people have been bent so much on rallying 30 people who have great individual skill but no means of working together in a difficult fort
i'm not trying to advocate absurdly unfair forts, just advocating challenging ones that actually stress group tactical ability, communication, teamwork - whatever
just wanted to share my thoughts |

I agree
I am highly considering a fort where defenders have 3 or 4 spawns per person and raiders have 10 minutes to storm a citadel with infinite respawns
Would make it fair for the raiders and tough at the same time |

| yes, soticule forces will make it a challenge by adding 1 hit ko snipers that are extremely difficult to aim with without practice, give height and spawn advantage and basically a group only door that gives us straight access to the objective |

this is actually pretty much true.
I'd actually raid VOID to prove that it is possible to win at their base, but, yknow' allied now. |
