What do you think about Magnus Chase? I'd like to see how he'll do with a series about Norse gods, but I think his books are all beginning to be the same. Percy Jackson, Kane Carter, Magnus Chase, boys who find out they actually have something to do with mythological gods. Heroes of Olympus was different however, a very good series indeed. I've pre-ordered The Blood of Olympus already (as I have had to wait an agonizing year for the sequel) and I think it'll be the best book yet. Sad to see the series go.

He's a good author, and the books do get a bit repetitive tho.
My favorite book from him would be the Demigod Files.
I haven't really heard of Magnus Chase much at all.
I still gotta finish HoH.

It's his books that got me interested into mythology. I know they're quite repetitive, but still very fun reads nonetheless.
Never heard of Magnus Chase, Norse mythology is definitely one of my favorites. Though I'm not very interested into the God part of Norse culture, only stuff like in LoT R |

| I think/hope Rick Riordan will combine Kane Chronicles and Percy Jackson after the end of the Heroes of Olympus series. There were some unanswered questions after Kane Chronicles ended and his two short stories certainly set possibilities. |

i think he's pretty good for a young adult author but basically all of his books are made using the same cookie cutter formula
and i thought the kane chronicles was a pretty bad series tbh |

same
if they just cut out sadie and all her boy troubles out the series would have been so much better |

@kisila
i feel like the author thinks the only way to connect to girls is to write a girl character that doesn't really do anything but worry about guys
but in the heroes of olympus, the girl perspectives (except for piper) actually have other thoughts and goals. so idk |

| He's a great author in my opinion. Mostly because of the Percy Jackson series. |

i loooove rick riordan's books. it's a shame i'll have to go on a camping field trip the day after Blood of Olympus comes out, so it'll take me a while to read qq. then again, i don't really want to rush reading it because i don't want HoO to eeenndd.
but yeah, i don't really care much for some of the main characters. |
