Can someone explain it to me. The wiki is in someway not 100% explaining everything.
So say I have it enabled. Will like all LocalScripts that interact with the Workspace not work??? Please explain
What are the Pros and Cons of having FilteringEnabled true? |

With FilteringEnabled localscript changes won't replicate to the server and server scripts cannot access players' playerguis.
Pros: No more hackers.
Cons: You actually have to know how to script to get your game to work properly. |

FilteringEnabled is the ultimate anti-hack. It stops people playing your game from changing anything, which effectively removes any effects hacking could have on others.
In other words, let's say that somebody creates a script-injecting exploit. On their screen they have a super cool sword, and when they swing it at people they will see their health going down. But nobody else will see a change. Their health will remain the same, and they won't even see the hacker's sword (typically).
This affects LocalScripts because LocalScripts are run by the computer's of the people playing your game. Scripts are unaffected because they are being run by the server hosting your game, and FilteringEnabled does not effect that. |

| To answer your question: LocalScripts can read Workspace, but changing things will have no effect. |

OKAY. That may be out of my league for now. But like if FilteringEnabled is false people still can't steal the game. Right? |

| FilteringEnabled will play little to no role in protecting your game from being stolen (although in certain situations it could help protect it). However, I do not believe that there are any place stealing exploits/hacks out at the moment. |

FilteringEnabled isn't theft-protection.
That's automatic. If you actually want your game copied, turn off copylock. |

Okay thank you. I don't think working my novice scripting abilities to protect from just scripter injectors.
