Right now, when you click a part and select a color, it paints the entire part. I want to be able to make each surface of a part a different color without having to add multiple decals. This will also make recoloring unions possible.
Support = Say 'Support' No Support = Say 'No Support' and supply a valid reason as to why. |

@Foldr, no he means a single part, but different surfaces different colours on that one part.
My mental state of mind could be questionable right now.. |

| It's a very interesting idea, but if you add a 1-width block with a 1-width, you get a two-width, so the current system might be OK. |

| They used to have over 1000 types of color but removed it due to networking issues. |

Guise.
He means to make it so you color the surface.
Not the block.
And from the title, like what ^ did, he doesn't mean to make new colors or anything. |

| As long as it's optional. Maybe a new tool that's right by the paint bucket? |

Ughhh,
Kid, coloring unions is actually somewhat possible, you probably haven't looked into it yet. When you negate a part from a union the hollowed out area is shown by the color of the part negated. Try it, take a regular rectangle and then negate a yellow sphere from it. Tell me what you see. Also, your suggesting is really hard and at the same time worthless and expensive. To make it so you can color certain areas would make your job harder, let alone robloxs job harder. They have to redo almost all of the game mechanics because having a brick be 8 colors at once (On the inside as well) will make it more complicated.
Also, the whole color on this inside thing. How will that work? If you color something on the outside I assume you want it colored on the outside but how would you do that? It's going to be a whole lot of complication and complexity just because you can't be bothered to spend 10 minutes making a decal or just using more than one brick.
I hope my point was valid enough.

@moaz First off, I'm 15, not some "kid". Second of all, I'm talking about making it easier. Third, this is not hard nor expensive, so do your research before blurting out random sentences. And finally, when did I say anything about coloring the inside? Surfaces means the outside areas, not the inside. So please, think before you write a paragraph of made up lies, spam, and hate.

@H5V4 First off, I call everyone kid, despite your age. Second of all, I do know of an easy way to do this but it's not going to be that high quality. Basically roblox can make a special surface GUI and you can color parts of that surface GUI? Also did you do any research before posting this? No you didn't because if you did you would know that this is in fact a hard procedure. ROBLOX will have to throw a way a bunch of properties they made and change a few things as well. It might not seem like it but colors do have a substantial role in our ROBLOX lives. Finally, if you don't color the inside then you're better of using a decal because decals can be designed in less time that bricks can (You can use advanced photo editing programs which is therefore faster than roblox) also you know what a decal looks like before they approve it so if you don't like it just don't use it from the start. Also, you can still see the decal in its 'pre-approved period' so you know what it'll look like.
