1) Find people who just adore and prioritize your music greatly. Start with small audiences.
2) Play live, don't worry about being paid for gigs.
3) Know any instruments of yours like the back of your hand.
4) Protect your songs, you do not want people taking credit for your works.
5) Promote your music.
6) Make sure you know any record labels or music publishers you hope to be signed to.
7) Have an "Entertainment Law Attorney".
8) Choose a well-organized and well-connected, respectable manager.
9) Don't take advice from anyone you don't know unless you know what they are talking about.
10) Have an idea of what the music business is all about.

actually no all you need to do is make music and if people enjoy it then youre in the music business
you dont need to be good at an instrument, promote your music, be signed, have an attorney, have a manager, or know what the music business is about
all you need to do is make music and have passion

There have been cases of music copying without permission.

That's minimal compared to bands like Paramore or One Direction. |

With a smaller audience, if you make a mistake, less tomatos shall be thrown at you. |

Most artist aren't rich enough to afford a attorney when they are starting out. Also, a lot of artist don't only play their own music, but a lot of other artist pieces. |
