i just went on deathmatch classic, got it with a Valve bundle
and it was so sad
there was a single server, and 2 people were in it
one guy didnt talk, and the other guy added me on steam.
it's just sad to see random old games that probably had userbases, just dead. it was like a ghost town.
I mean think about it. Kids probably used to play those kinds of games on ethernet or dial up. They would get home from school and play these games. And nowadays, no one even remembers they exist.
Maybe the same will happen to roblox some day, it's sad but inevitable I guess. |

Idk its just sad.
I kinda teared up.
People used to look forward to playing these games. Kids probably would talk crap on these games and rage when they died. Just think about it. This used to be a really good game to some people.
You know, maybe its just how simpler it is. They were simpler games for simpler people. It's just kind of sad. TO see a game with all these features and scant few servers. It is sad. |

i know I sound like an idiot but I am trying to formulate a complex emotion into simple words
I guess its best put like this.
Imagine you are 20 years old.
Imagine you get up one day and look at ROBLOX on a wayback machine or something. Then you see all these games, the FMs, the forums, and all this stuff. And you can't post, you can't contact these people. But this was a lot of those kids favorite game. You don't know what they are doing now, you don't know them, you never will. Look at this game from modern standards and it is crap. But back then, these kids really enjoyed this game.
It's like an echo of a previous generation. |
