-------------------------------------------------- Fractured World ------------------------------------------------------

-Story-

In this land, which has no name, there are no planets. The universe is infinite, and it is made of a massive land, which is just as diverse as Earth. There, all different kinds of life thrive. However, the origin of this land is a mystery. There is no such thing as history, some argue the land is only a hundred years old, while others argue it has been around forever. In truth, it is eternal it has no beginning, and no foreseeable end. During this time, there have been many great empires, all lost to the wind, not even existing as whispers to the other races. Some masters of art, some of magic, but only one was a master of the strangest of schools:

Science.

They created craft that would surf the skies, like a boat, they created war machines the size of mountains, and feats of technology bordering upon the arcane.

They were known to other races as the Ter'ii. They were discovered by the only remnant of them: The Keepers; or to be more precise, The Keeper. It is an awesome, enormous automation, dwarfing even mighty mountains. It exists simply to record knowledge- And to those that it deems worthy, it may surrender its knowledge in the form of a horrific beam, which it fires directly into the being's mind. Often times this results in the being's mind exploding in a rather odd fashion. Only those that can retain the information are worthy- and for a while, the machine believed that no one was worthy. However, that was until it met a mage, whose name is only known by the machine. This mage, after learning all there is to learn, went on to found several collages, all around the civilized world. These collages were soon simply whispers upon the leaves of trees, forgotten. However, it did produce a rather interesting result: A division.

The civilized world was split into three. Members of these three were not allied in any form, of course. It is simply a classification:

Some people were there when the colleges formed. They learned a great deal, and decided to upload their minds to machines, to give them immortality. They are now wondering nomads, outcasts to society. Their minds did once hold great treasures, but their machines were flawed. They forgot over time, forgetting even their identity.

These beings were known as the Augmented.

It should be noted not all of these beings are actually cyborgs or automatons some are simply people who use technology, however most are physically augmented by technology, hence the blanket term. On top of this fact, few men are smart enough to actually understand the workings of technology.

And those that where around in the days of the colleges could only learn so much- often the Augmented pale when compared to the Ter'ii. The best way to summarize the Augmented is rather simply:

Steampunk.

Some people shunned technology, seeing it as the spawn of their chosen devils. They simply rejected it, and all who used it. These beings built churches and chapels, and chose to become powerful through worship.

Of course, not all of these people who hated it went and worshipped Gods- these beings who did not, instead chose to follow in the ways of magic to achieve an apotheosis. Indeed, many of the religious people unknowingly worship these mages. These men became collectively known as "Followers". They followed their faith as blindly as they hated others.
Other men did not care of this, or did not know. It does not matter which, they all used technology and magic, but not to the extent that others would. They are the most common. There is little more to shed of these men, bar that they were simply known as the Aligned.
Now, in this fractured world, you were born. You are to live out your days, born into one of these cultures, living your life. Perhaps you are destined for more. Perhaps not. Only time will tell.

-Information-

No one knows of the Keeper, and if they did, they would most likely be overwhelmed by its power.

Followers, if they have become extremely devoted to their worship, will forget the world, and be forever in a state of mind, unknown to those outside this state. Soon, they will fade away, becoming a part of their chosen deity, or if they are mages, part of their arcane knowledge.

The Aligned will soon become a Follower or Augmented in their lifetime, unless they remain stable enough, through various techniques, eventually dying. There is no afterlife.

Interestingly, this is arguably the best fate, as opposed to losing your mental balance, or your humanity.

The Augmented are steampunk, with both ranged and melee weaponry, charging their combat tools with a steam.

The Followers prefer melee arms, but will used ranged weaponry if they wish. The only use of this weaponry is to channel their magical power, making the weapons only as powerful as their user.

The Aligned, however, do not care what weaponry they are equipped with, however they usually have metal melee weapons or ballistic firearms.

It is rumoured that the Ter'ii had a type of weapon that could simply remove swathes of reality from existence. This weapon is lost to time, and is most likely just a rumour.

The Augmented, Followers, and Aligned do not know of each other largely, and most likely have never met on a large scale. If they do meet, xenophobia and racism is common. Due to the nomadic nature of the Augmented, and their tendency to not form communities, often times they are treated as witches by the other cultures.

The currency used by every culture is gold, silver, and bronze coins.

The Gobll Clans are not evil.

The Augmented are steampunk, not futuristic, technological beings.

------------------------------------------------ Rules --------------------------------------------------

If this roleplay needs rules, I will be surprised. We expect maturity, and if you need rules written down, get out.

I'll post this in parts

There are several scars adorning my irregular, oval shaped face, signs of battles long gone. My cheek bones are quite high, and just above them are my silvery eyes. My lips are rather parched. Also, I am quite tall, at about 6'5, and I have a more muscular build."

"Can't see you clearly, what are you wearing?"

My shirt is short sleeved and quite tattered, thankfully I have this new, coarse leather jacket on. I have a watch on my wrist, an antique. My pants are thankfully new and thus free of dirt."

"It appears you have some things with you. What are they?"
"My pack, containing my firearms, which are a rifle with a scope and grenade launcher and a standard pistol. It also has a few days rations of food and water as well as a rope inside. Some currency is inside also.

"I see. How do you act? Kindly? Cruelly?"
"Indifferent, like a true bandit should."

"Anything I've missed?"
"Where do I ask you the questions? Anyways, I am a bandit with a few followers. Not many, though."
----------------------------------------------------Races---------------------------------------------------------

These are the races of Fractured world. You're allowed to create your own with the race sheet. Though there are no humans, the term human is used: It means, effectively, sentient beings and what not.

The Elven Clans, the collective name for Oakelves, Birchelves, and Pineelves. The Elven Clans all have a life span of roughly 320 years, and usually resemble their respective tree. They are vegetarians when in their own forests, refusing to kill the "Treemother's Children", or animals of the forest. When they leave their forest, they will willingly eat meat, as it is not from their grove or dwelling.

The Gobll Clans, the collective name for Marshrunners, Goblins, Lurkers, and Trolls. The Gobll Clans all have a life span of roughly 60 years, and all resemble each other in the fact that they have green, toadish skin, and pointed ears. They are all carnivorous, with the exception of the vegetarian Lurkers. They often breed Wolverines and Wildcats as hunting beasts, and are all very open to trade.

Oakelves, creatures that resemble regular fantasy elves, with pointed ears and pale skin. Their hair is always the colour of the leaves of their home forest. They are usually 6.5 so when fully grown, significantly taller than some other races, and their teeth are rounded, instead of flat or pointed. This is usually not noticeable. They are always Followers, it is how they were raised. They, like other elves, prefer high buildings and forests, and like mild and cold temperatures.

Birchelves, cousins of the Oakelves and Pineelves, although they are shorter, roughly 5'8, and have different behaviour. Unlike Oakelves and Pineelves, they are more of a warrior race, and prefer the Aligned culture over the Follower culture. They are most comfortable in high buildings, or forests, and prefer lighter, warmer climates.

Pineelves, the last members of the elf clans, tallest as well. They are often 6'8, quite tall compared to most, with a darker, more brown skin colouring, unlike their pale cousins. Their hair is often spikier or rougher than other elves, and is a blue-green in colour. Pineelves are usually Followers or Aligned, although a few are Augmented. They are best suited to forests, and tall buildings, but are happiest in cold, snowy taiga.

Embersprites, creatures roughly the size of a rabbit standing on two legs, that weigh about 7kg. They are constructed by sorcerers, out of charred, black wood. They have stubby arms and legs, and their faces have no mouth, nose, or any other facial features, other than undetailed wooden eyes. Their hair is actually an ever burning fire, which will ignite when awake, and dim to ashes when asleep. As Embersprites have no eyelids, this is the only way to tell if they are conscious.

Fellwraiths, evil creatures, standing at 8 or so feet, resembling pale, almost skeletal humans. They have huge, almost bat-like wings, their wingspan being about 7 feet. Their skin is a pale, vampiric white, and their eyes are black pits. Their teeth are pointed, little more than fangs. They do not dwell in the same plain of existence as the other races, and instead dwell in the Otherworld, where the most devoted Followers will eventually end up, slowly becoming wraiths themselves.

Marshrunners, creatures resembling goblins, but with webbed feet, hands, and feathers growing on top of their heads, which they will cut and pluck into various styles. They never grow past 5 feet in height, and have nocturnal, yellow eyes. They dislike leaving their swamp homes, and as such their dwellings in cities and towns of other races are damp and dark, and will usually have an excess of running water. Marshrunners are merchants by nature, and will often be found travelling or following caravans.

Lurkers, small members of the goblin clans, with huge bat like ears. They are only 1 feet tall, and have black-green skin. Their teeth are sharp, and pointed, and their large eyes are cunning and sneaky. They cannot speak, but can, with a special fluid created in their ears, hear the thoughts of other Lurkers, which is how they communicate. They are often sold as slaves to various well paid workers, to assist them in dangerous jobs.

Goblins and Trolls, common fantasy creatures. There is no real need for a large explanation here, as these races are extremely similar to their counterparts in fantasy stories. However, Trolls are not as stupid and savage as thought, and infact are quite civilized.

The Lotagra, odd creatures indeed. They are formed by emotions, literally the manifestations of hate and pain. They grow stronger as the leech emotions of others, and as such, their life generally revolves around using their very powerful magics to cause destruction and disharmony. They can take any form they wish, and tend to fly to get around.

Noirs, strange spirits that follow people through their life. Often times they will take the form of a dog, or perhaps another animal. Depending upon their intentions, they may be benevolent or malevolent. Whatever their intention, they often follow people of great power, or who are magically inclined. In truth, they are parasites, however most people who have them, enjoy having them. Most malevolent ones do not let their presence be noted by others. Most heroes had one, often in the form of their steed.

Mindful Torc, the were clans. The Torc clans are often stereotyped as evil, malicious beings, but only some of the Torc Lupin groups have evil intentions. The Torc clans are usually separated into Torc Lupin, the were wolves, Torc Felin, the were cats, and Torc Raptar, the were birds. The Torc clans do not turn into half-beasts, but instead will take the full form of an animal, unlike fantasy werewolves.

Feral Torc, the were tribes. Feral Torc are like regular Torc, however they are tribal and savage. Due to their feral nature, they must consume the flesh of a sentient creature every day, or they shall starve. Feral Torc, if they attack, but do not slay, a humanoid, they will infect it, causing it to become feral as well, taking on the animal of the feral Torc that infected them. Feral Torc, however, are, extremely rare, due to the mindful Torc hunting and killing them.

Riaticar, strange and intelligent whales, that reside in Igra. They are very magical, and can control other sea creatures and land creatures to do their bidding. As such, they use specially created corals to build their cites, known as Steel-Corals. They do not like going above water and on to land, although with magical assistance it is most likely possible.

Speculum, creatures sculpted out of glass that range to glass dragons to glass gargoyle but commonly glassmen. Speculum are often enslaved by superior races, but prefer being paid for their services.

Golems, not to be confused with Speculum, are creatures, as tall as a large man, some even bigger. They have plain and undetailed faces, carved out of clay. Their body is also clay. They cannot speak. Only the Aligned can create golems, as they are a combination of magic and science. It is illegal to sell golems, and impossible anyway, as golems will only stay loyal to their creator. The golems will become more and more human as the creator spends time with them. When they become fully human, it is rumoured they join the Roitki.

------------------------------------------------- Bestiary ------------------------------------------------------

These are the animals of Fractured World. You may create your own, but it best be good.
Use the race sheet if making your own.

Horses, hardy and strong steeds. There is no need for explanation here, although the horses of Fractured World are almost all yellow maned, instead of the usual black or white.

Dogs, popular pets and loyal friends. Similar to real life dogs, but stronger and hardier.
Dogs in Fractured World are also more intelligent, and if told to hunt for say, ducks, will hunt for only ducks.

Cats, another well known animal. Same as real life cats, although more wild looking and larger. Cats in Fractured World are also more intelligent, being able to fetch things for their owners.

Parrots, well known animals. They are the same as real life parrots, although in Fractured World, parrots are intelligent, being able to hold conversations with most people, and others of their species.

Rats, common rodents. The rats of Fractured World are bigger in size, but are more passive, avoiding humans and predators. They usually eat vegetables and fruit if they can find it, but are omnivorous and not very picky. They can carry disease, but Augmented are immune naturally.

Korip, creatures resembling ferrets, but the size of small dogs, with large claws on their paws. They are naturally resistant to poisonous gases, and are kept by miners. Miners will send a Korip ahead, digging small tunnels into where the miners are planning to excavate, checking for any gas poisonous for other races.

Wolverines, another well known animal of the weasel family, lurk the swamps. They are prey to the Marshrunner tribes for sustinence, and travel in fairly large packs of ten. Some are kept by Elves that have journeyed through the swamps, and were brought back as loyal pets similar to dogs.

Porbirds, birds the size of parrots, with long, yellow beaks. The males have purple plumage, while the females have red plumage. Porbirds can imitate any song they hear, including the words to this song, but they cannot talk like parrots.

Rabir, pig-like animals the size of rabbits. Rabir look like piglets, but they have short bristly hairs all over their back, and small tusks. They are often hunted by the Gobbl and Torc clans, to provide food,

Nosites, Sea monsters with giant sword sharp teeth that prey on small animals, ships, and any race. Ranging about 10-15 meters long, they Nosites will eat anything and everything.

Korl, reptilian creatures the size of pigs. Korl resemble alligators and crocodiles from real life, although their tails have large spikes on the end. Korl however, are not slow on land, and are used as hunters by the Gobll clans.

Crauirk, large ants the size of a truck. They build mighty cities out of sand, strip the entire area of resources, and then eventually just die after a week. Major problem for most areas, but the damage they do is easially fixable, due to the

Varif, small and strange slug creatures that dwell in forests. Wherever they go, life springs forward. They can grow a forest in just a month.

Locusts, less common in this world, but their swarms can be massive. One swarm was the size of a mountain, and it consumed an entire elven grove.

Sycia, large sea serpents, the size of buses. They swim in the ocean, praying on dolphins and sharks. A drop of their poison could kill a man a thousand times over. They are feared by sailors all over. They do not attempt to target boats purposely, instead mistaking them for their prey.

Ackar, large birds of prey that range in size from normal gulls to the size of a fully grown great dane. Although unlike many birds, they do not have any feathers and instead have very tough skin, almost similar to scales. Their wings are webbed like their feet and they glide ever so gently in the wind waiting for pray to some into their vision, they then swoop down like a missile and grab it in their crushing beak. Their prey mainly consists of other birds and small mammals such as rats.

Roitki, are as of current, considered to be animals. They are large hominids, some 9ft to 20ft tall. They live in the mountains, where they herd the Arioi. Some evidence states they should be classified with humanity, but most argue against that. Their diet revolves around the Arioi.

Arioi, large trees, that grow from 9-12ft tall. They are able to move about, and are herded by the Roitki. Their bark is very strong- as strong as stone. When the creature is alive, however, it can be filed off.

Ocanni, similar to a crab in skeletal structure and appearance, although are larger and more ferocious. They are around half the size of an average human and have 2 large forward facing pincers that can break bones and tear flesh. As horrible as this sounds they are passive creatures and wont attack unless they are provoked or their young are threatened.

------------------------------------------------Legendary Creatures------------------------------------------------

The Dravomyr
The Dravomyr is the name given to the Ten Dragon Lords, Viel, Esthyai, Orlmia, Falthar, Qintauss, Korlmyr, Tuhsenn,Yndrimass, Tuhl, and Porlmyrias. Five of them are evil, five of them are just. The Dravomyr used to be united, in their own realm, before Qint, the Sly, discovered the power of dark magick. He created a portal from the dragon realm, to the mortal realm. He attempted to enslave humanity with the help of his followers, who were named the Dravomyr Calthun by the Elf Clans. He was then known as Qintauss, the Usurper. However, he was defeated by Porlmyr, the Brave, who ruled the Dravomyr Salthir. After he saved the enslaved mortals, he was known as Porlmyrias, the Sovereign. However, the Dravomyr Calthun were not defeated, only biding their time in the shadows of the dragon realm.

Dravomyr Calthun, the Dark Dragons

Viel, the Feared One
Viel, his eyes glow red with terror. His horrid, white teeth make him look like a nightmare. His wings are torn, and also black with vengeance. That goes the same for his scaly, horrific grey body. His tail is slim and slithering, making him look like a real monster.

Esthyai, the Consumer
Esthyai, her mouth lined with blood. Her sharp, piercing teeth are stained, and her scales are brown-green, making her look barbaric. Her wings are long and wide, used for intercepting victims. She is a 'barbaric excuse for a dragon'.

Orlmia, the Lost
Orlmia, although she might look harmless, is actually a monster within. Her small, harmless-looking eyes make her look like a poor lizard, rather than a dragon. She isn't, however. She drives men insane, makes them disappear, due to man's considerate thoughts. Her hide is the colour of storming skies.

Falthar, the Reeking
Falthar, the pungent smell of blood in his body. His screech resembles the pain, chaos, and death. His black body is torn. His wings are deadly. His roar sends people running out of towns. He is the messenger of Qintauss.

Qintauss, the Usurper
Qintauss, his body larger than a fortress. His wings can cover hundreds of towns, making residents think of an 'early solstice'. His roar causes earthquakes. His claws can break down mountains. A flap of his wings can cause a flash flood. These are all that can be said of him, for only a few have seen him, and lived to tell the tale.
Dravomyr Salthir, the Light Dragons

Korlmyr, the Swift
Korlmyr, small but fearsome. His wings beat faster than that of a hummingbirds making him the most agile and quick out of the dragons. He has iridescent silver skin that glints in the sunlight and casts colourful glows to the delight of many. Despite this fairytale appearance he is a fearsome and brave fighter.

Tuhsenn, the Purifier
Tuhsenn, her blood is said to cure most disease and his breath can wipe out plagues. This earned her name as the Purifier. She is tall, with a long snout, and a hide harder than silver-steel. Her scales are crimson in colour.

Yndrimass, the Saviour
Yndrimass, this dragon has saved the lives of other dragons and other races alike many times. Stopping villages and towns from being besieged by the dark dragons by his almighty roar that is the only one that truly strikes fear into the Dark Dragons. His scales are a dull red, although down his left side he has a series of burns and scratches, one of which has claimed his left eye.

Tuhl, the Strong
Tuhl, the powerhouse of the Light dragons, a swipe from his tail can smash through rock and fell forests in one powerful swoop and his claws can crush the bones of the strongest of beasts. Due to his strength his is much bigger and bulkier than his other fellow dragons, his hide is a dull brown colour with a white underbelly.

Porlmyrias, the Sovereign
The leader of the Salthir, the only one that can put up a fight against Quintass. His scales are a glorious silver that shine in the sunlight and his teeth are a perfect white. To do battle with this dragon would be a death wish, even for the mightiest of dragons.

The Ulphast
The Ulphast is a horrific creature. It's size is only indescribable as gigantic. It has unearthly fangs that can wipe a forest bald in less than a hour. Its 6 horrendous, wrinkled legs with giant, heavy toes can create short earthquakes. Its teeth are dirty, blackened by the soot created from its fiery breath. It reeks of a stench that can only be likened to death, causing animals around it to simply fall to the fall. The rocks it's body touch shatter, and all that hear it's horrific, piercing screech go mad. It's skin rough and callous, and it's horse-like head lacks even eyes. Eventually it was slain by Griant, but many still fear it.
Extermanus
The Extermanus a creature akin to the common wolf, except this wolf is as large as a city, due to the fact that it houses one on the crest of its head- Inhabited only by the souls of those who he has killed. and down over its spine. It dwarfs its fellow counterparts, and casts a horrific shadow across the land, as it roams where ever it pleases with no able body daring to stop it. It's covered with a thick layer of grey fur that is thick enough to entrap anybody who is insane enough to get close to it. It has large purple pools for eyes, that often people allow themselves to get lost in- Simply because of the awe Extermanus inspires. Over its fur it dons large sections of armour, atop its forelegs and hindlegs to protect it from anything daring enough to attack it. Now it slumbers, waiting for when it can consume the souls of the living and the dead once more.
-------------------------------------------------------------- Lore -----------------------------------------------------------
Here are a few stories, just samples of what Fractured World looks like;
Most of the Augmented, as mentioned, came from colleges formed long ago. These colleges are now lost. They are most likely inhabited and fiercely guarded by automatons. But it is not their fate which we are to concern about now- but the things it spawned. Most colleges thought that the body should be modified, not completely changed into machine.
The College of Candent disagreed with this, the entire population of the nearby towns being turned into worker drones to build the college out more and more. To this day, it remains one of the most feared places around simply because the main systems on the college still thinks that it needs more workers. And every second, it makes better robots, better designed to go out there and snatch off innocent people, to be upgraded.
And let us not forget of the now lost college of Exi. Here, the Augmented spent their time designing weapons. They spent so much time on this, that they allowed their steam automatons to fall into disrepair. The automatons knew that when they were damaged, they must repair themselves. But they could not find the parts; so they had to use living creatures as salvage material. So fierce was the battles within the hallways of this college, that it climaxed with a fiery explosion, that could be seen from places that had never even heard of the term "Human." It left nothing of college, or anything around it for a radius greater than our solar system.
The Story of Eit, the Heretical Mage.
Eit grew in a follower town, and as such he was a mage and a clegery man. He travelled all over the Mainland, spreading the word of Calthar. One day, he was meditating, thinking of the great texts. When he saw Calthar come to him, and told him to embrace the machine. Of course, Eit complied. What he did not know, is that this man was not Calthar- He was Cthu'un the corrupter! And so, Eit surrendered his humanity and his eternal soul to the machine, was outcasted, and later killed. This should serve as a warning to other followers- to embrace the machine is to disguard your humanity.
Graint, the Champion of Viash.
Long ago, a horrible monster walked the earth. It was known as the The Ulphast- except, no one knew of it, for it left no survivors on its horrific trail of death. When Graint, a swordsman, was dreaming, the god Viash came to him. He told him of the Ulphast, and told him that he must kill it. Graint, though daunted, found that Viash had given him the qualities of a true warrior: Heart, Strength, and Skill. He had to go out and attack the Ulphast. He followed through the trail of death, to find the monstrosity. It roared at him- a roar that could make any man flee- but Graint stood true, for his heart was powerful. He charged the monster, and began to climb it's back-most leg. Though this was a feat no mortal could achieve, Graint had the strength of a warrior, and so he reached the beast's foul head. When most mortals would not know what to do, Graint had the skill of a God, and so he plunged his sword deep into the beast's skull, and carved out a hole, where the lightning of Viash struck deep into its mind. The beast fell, and it rotted straight away, into dust.
The Great Clan War.
The forest of I'ca was surrounded by a large swamp. This swamp was to be known as O'ca. In the forest of I'ca, their where many tribes of elves, who lived in harmony. In the Swamp, the Gobbl dwelled, who also lived in harmony. Until the Torc came along- feral, savage beasts, who set about attacking parts of the swamp and forest sporadically. The I'ca and the O'ca both went to war with each other, as they suspected each other. As the feral Torc population grew, the inhabitants of I'ca and O'ca realised their mistake. They rallied together, and became one- the U'ca. Together, they staved off the Torc, and worked to spread the false message of how evil the Torc are.
----------------------------------------------------Geography--------------------------------------------------------------
The Fractured World is rich, and diverse. Here is just a snippet of its infinity.
Several islands make up the starting country, one being particularly large and thus being dubbed 'the mainland'. The cartographer shall start with this land; "The mainland consists of four major territories, each ruled by a different view with sub territories within. Ria is the largest and thus the general religious and political force on the continent. They tend to sympathise with the Elven Clans and the Torc Clans, as well as those who follow the god of knowledge, Calthar. Those who do not follow are generally converted, or exodited. They may appear open minded, but in truth they are rather xenophobic. The 'holy' capital of the miniature country is the city of Graun, and the military capital is the dwelling of Opvali
The territory known as Vanqi, that resides in the south of the mainland. It is an industrial waste, home to the college of Candent. The inhabitants are all augmented to the point of being true machines, whose goal is simply to create more of themselves and expand the college. They are an everlasting threat to the other nations. However, the other nations have managed to ward them off where ever they attack.
For now.
To the east of the mainland, an insidious secret lies. This land is known as the Deathlands, for all that enters shall die a ferocious, painful death, as their soul is ripped straight out of their body. Even Augmented befall this fate, for reasons unknown to even them. The truth is that something lies beneath the sands , patiently waiting for its next victim...
For soon, it will be able to awake, and take back the land it once ruled.
To the west lies a small kingdom, well known for its use of both technology and magic. It is known as Virate, and is almost always underseige from the other two forces in the north and the south. As such, the people are distrusting and resilient.
Of course, there are areas outside of the "Mainland." In fact, there are well over 100 places called "The Mainland", that have never met. However, for simplicity, the mainland shall be the focal point of our map.
To the North of the Mainland, outside the frozen islands, lies a gigantic mountain, the scale of which dwarfs even Jupiter. It can be seen from many, many, many, many, many miles away. It is known as the Gigyrt. One of the few things that can state it is larger is the Keeper- a testament to the size of both of them.
To the west of the mainland resides the under-water realm of the Riacticar, built upon mighty Steel-Corals. Here, all sorts of magic is learned and invented, making it a hub of discovery. However, no one on the surface knows of it, and as such, the Riacticar remain sheltered. This underwater realm is known as Igra.
Far to the south of the mainland lies an active volcano, many, many kilometres high. It constantly spews out burning hell fire, and as such, constantly grows larger as it's molten rock hits the sea.
To the East of the mainland is a massive continent, separated from the mainland by an ocean that is greater than any on Earth. This continent is unexplored, and as such we can say little of it. It is believed a mage went there once, and came back with great knowledge."
---------------------------------------------------- Gods and Deities------------------------------------------------
Many Gods are worshipped in the Fractured World; here are the major ones.
If they exist or not is up for debate.
Calthar, the God of Knowledge.
Calthar is the main God of knowledge, although there are several related deities. He is worshipped by the Elf clans, and some of the Torc clans, bestowing them with the gift of thought and knowledge. Some people debate Calthar's place in certain Follower sects, as knowledge leads to Augmentation- or, at least these Followers think so, his symbol is the scroll.
Viash, the God of Destruction.
Viash is the God of Destruction, volcanoes, and fire. He is worshipped by fire mages and the likes, to whom he gives the gift of power. His symbol is the flames.
Athor, the God of Life.
Athor is the God of Life, specifically health and birth. He is a very commonly worshipped god, simply because that he governs so many things A farmer would pray for a good crop, a mother for a healthy child, and a soldier to simply be able to live. He is conspired wise, and rumours are spread that sometimes he appears to the humans in an youthful, happy man. His symbol is the heart.
Tyrad, the God of War.
Tyrad, the God of War, is considered as the 'strength-giver'. People mostly worship him if they want to be victorious, whether it be a war of words, or a war of worlds. His symbol is the sword.
Ashrak, the God of Wisdom.
Ashrak is not to be confused with Calthar. Whence Calthar makes a man learn by scrolls, Ashrak make them learn with experience. Leaders, soldiers, or even just beggars worship him, for they have seen the effects given to anyone who has. His symbol is the crown.
Esteyth, The God of Death.
Esteyth is not worshipped like the other gods. Instead, every soul he takes, he grows slightly stronger. He does not discriminate with who he takes, and only takes when it is their time. It is said that worshippers of him die quicker, however. His symbol is the skull.
Y'is, the God of Time
The god of time Y'is is an ancient powerful god said to be able to control time.
This god is rarely worshipped and if ever worshipped only by small cults that are rare and far between. His symbol is the hourglass.
Cthu'un, the God of Corruption and Sacrifice.
Cthu'un is not a true god, but a Follower priest, ascended beyond the realms of mortals. He declared total war on the gods, in rage at his leaving of his Follower cultists, but was defeated easily. He was almost totally destroyed, all that was left of him becoming a huge, tentacled red eye, doomed to wander the dark realms forever. He is worshipped by the Gobbl and Torc clans as the master of sacrifice and war. His symbol is the eye.

"Appearance."
"I am a tall Oakelf, standing at six foot five. My form is rather lithe, without much broadness. My augmentations are mostly evident upon my visage- little remains of my biological side there, with the entirety of my face being replaced with metal. I have a single optical centre in the middle of my head, along with a vocal communicator situated below it. For solely aesthetic reasons, I have shaven all my hair. The only other heavily augmented area are my hands; the right one is a simple mechanical claw, and the left is a more complicated probing and interaction tool."
--------
"Apparel."
"I wear a long red robe to conceal myself whilst affording mobility."
--------
"Important belongings."
"A large bag, containing a few tools and many books."
----------
"Behaviour"
"I do not fight if flight is an option. I am quick on my feet, which is useful to preserve my frail frame. I have somewhat limited social skills, due to my extensive facial modification destroying any attempt I may make to conceal my augmented nature."
----------
"Additional Information."
"I dabble in reanimation through mechanical means."
