| Or doing anything to help preserve the environment or resources? What measures do you do to lessen your impact on the environment? |

| I recycle, use compost, etc. I am very concerned about littering, I would never do that. I use solar power for all my electricity at home. I refuse car rides from my parents if I can go somewhere walking distance. I try to buy products that do green things, like the ones where they plant trees for every product bought. |

| Nuclear power is a good, green choice. One of the best choices out there, much better and safer than burning coal. |

| Just did homework on this. Nuclear power uses a lot of water, contaminates water, and creates waste. |

| Maybe where you live, I don't know, but here they are really green about it. A little bit of uranium is a lot of power. They have high security too and is very hard for one to have an accident, even if someone was trying to make it do that. Obviously it is not the best because of nuclear waste, but I think it would be better than coal or oil power. |

| the thing is, for their to be any significant contamination, you'd need to have a major nuclear meltdown. this isn't very likely because nuclear power technology is so safe that you have to ignore every single warning for a meltdown to occur. |

| my family is pretty good about being "green." we recycle and whatnot, but our house is also solar powered and my dad is buying an electric car. |

| I really, really wish my parents had a hybrid or electric car. When I can drive I hope to get an electric car instead of one that runs on gas. |

| if tesla continues to do well, they should have their affordable model out soon. right now there are only the sporty, expensive ones and the moderately-priced ones. |

| I hope they sell them over here in the future. Also this sounds like a stupid question but what source is the electricity for those cars from? They have electric 'gas stations' right? |

-I ride my bicycle to school (five miles). -I recycle. -I eat primarily local and nothing very processed. -I compost. -I garden. -I bike or walk anywhere within twenty miles that I need to go. Public bus, too. -My family is fairly good about using eco-friendly products.
There are a myriad of other small things. My mother, brother, and I, do our best. This is, of course, despite that my father is a super-republican who believes climate change is a conspiracy theory worked into the education system by the leftists that control it for some evil scheme likely worked up by the communist Obama who plans on not only serving at least a third term, but is also letting in so many Mexican immigrants so he can secretly train them into a military force to use against Americans. Yes, I am serious. It's awful. He and I don't get along very well. |

We recycle about %50 of the household waste here.
Composting actually can create greenhouse gases if you use the wrong material.
I also have a bicycle along with a high mileage vehicle. |

you got it all wrong, it doesn't contaminate water, the water thats used to cool the rods is the " waste " and is disposed of properly, and maybe in the next 50 years we can find a way to use it and/or get rid of it |

Hybrid cars are obsolete.
Fully electric ones have the problem of batteries which take more resources to
make than they can recoup in their lifespan.
Clean diesel/recycled biofuel is the future for the next decade at least. |

The batteries in the electric cars are more harmful to the planet than drilling for oil.
Just sayin. |

I'd say I already do quite a lot. Although, probably, I could be even doing much more, I'd say this is enough. I cycle to school and to water polo training. We also recycle and make free compost.

| My household is an "electricity waster", we have the highest electricity consumption of my flat. All i'm doing is avoiding car rides. The water consumption is the least important part for me, because my town has more than enought clean water. |

I forgot to mention that I also, eventhough daily, shower for 5 minutes. I have an hourglass for that. And, if it counts, we also h@ng the laundry outside when the weather seems fit for it to dry in the wind and sun.

| There isn't a dryer in my home, so my family is doing the same, with water i'm very wasteful i don't see many good reasons to save water. |
