The Vans Warp Tour is known for having a pretty diverse type of setlist. Mainly consisting of a mix between Alternative, Punk and Metalcore, there have been some pretty impressive bands of the modern era. Excluding Katy Perry, here are the top bands from the Vans Warp Tour.
Number Ten-Jimmy Eat World: Known for their song "The Middle", which has a pretty uplifting meaning, Jimmy Eat World starts us off. Although this band isn't widely known, Jimmy Eat World got their start on the Vans Warp Tour in the year 2000.
Number Nine-A Day To Remember: These guys are just pure awesome! Known for their wild and epic live performancs, A Day To Remember is a worthy successor to Jimmy Eat World. Although these guys aren't too popular, they are certaintly up and coming. They, of course, got their start on the Warped Tour, and have been apart of the 2008, 2009, 2011 and 2014.
Number Eight-Billy Idol: Just to throw you guys off, I know you would never guess. Since this guy is an 80's icon, and influenced Punk, he was the star of the 2005 Vans Warped Tour.
Number Seven-Godsmack: Known for their Alt-Metal anthems, Godsmack comes in at number seven. When Godsmack was still a diamond in the ruff, back in the early 2000's, they appeared only once on the fourth ever Vans Warped Tour.
Number Six-Killswitch Engage: Ah yes, Killswitch Engage. Known for starting in the early years of Metalcore, Killswitch Engage brings alot to the table as number six. Although it sounds pretty unbelieveable for these guys to even fit in at the warped tour, these guys headlined the 2007 warped tour.
Number Five-Green Day: Green Day serves as a decent mediator. Although they've tanked in the recent years, Green Day actually performed at a smaller concert. I know right! I'm surprised their ego fit in a fairground too! These guys headlined the 2000 Vans Warped Tour.
Number Four-Limp Bizkit: Looks like Limp Bizkit's rollin' to Number Four on my list. Back when Limp Bizkit was popular, Limp Bizkit headlined the third ever Vans Warped Tour. It seems that Vans knows what they're doing so far... with the exception of Green Day.
Number Three-Staind: Coming in at number three, is the ever so memorable Staind. Known for their epic song Absolute Zero, Staind actually performed at the vans warped tour. Infact it was the fourth ever warped tour.
Number Two-Avenged Sevenfold: As unbelievable as it seems, A7X did actually attend the warped tour. Quite a few times, actually. They attended from 2002 until 2007. You guys gotta remember, these guys were small at one point in time.
Honorable Mentions: The Misfits The Offspring Sum 41 Weezer We Came As Romans Rise Against Papa Roach Kid Rock Joan Jett and the Blackhearts L7 (joking, these guys are terrible) Fall Out Boy Falling In Reverse Deftones Bowling For Soup Blink-182
Number One-Linkin Park: The ever so controversial Linkin Park serves as a Number One Pick. For all the rock noobs out there who don't really know much, yet claim to be a "rock elicit", they are known for their signature Nu-Metal sound. Every metalheads nightmare actually performed at this years first Vans Warped Tour destination. Though, they're still too big to perform at such a concert.
Whelp, thats all for todays list. If I missed any, tell me! Feel free to flame, I have a fire extinguisher. |

Teenage Bottlerocket sucks. Vans basically advertises "skater rock", as they call it, which is basically bottom level punk, alt and metalcore bands. I am a fan of the warped tour, but sadly they don't come to my town because First Baptist Church doesn't like "mind-altering rock music". I don't have anything against religion, but if they want my town to make money, they gotta stop being so strict. Sure, MOST rock can be bad, but if its going to help the town financially, why do you care?

HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA yes. If that doesn't do it for you, here are some more. The Strokes, Broken Social Scene and Alt-J. Foster The People are just mainstream, but they were indie rock. You need to remember that a band isn't stuck to one genre. They explore.

Dr, just admit I was right for once. Indie Rock isn't even good. I just know these things because half the bands are coming to my town for "The Big Ticket" which was better last year. Atleast they have Chevelle, but Chevelle attends "Welcome To Rockville" and "The Big Ticket" almost every year. Also Moronic, you just attempt to start flame wars without even doing any research on the genre. I know I don't know everything, but I apply effort. Dr doesn't like effort, but atleast try next time. I know Metal scares you, because of the 'scary' logos and album covers.

How the hell do you jump from Doom Metal all the way over to Indie Rock? Yet you pick on me for liking R.E.M.
