Well, Rindir asked about the status of the terrain in the RBXDev forums, and:

@everybody thinking that this wouldn't fit ROBLOX:
What if we had the option to turn this on and off? I don't really care about the grass texture, but the water looks amazing. |

Now we just need the ability to add our own textures to the terrain, and it'll be a fully featured terrain editor.

I agree, and I predict in the future there may be a fine line between normal building and advanced, a VERY fine line.
