why don't we have cures for a lot of diseases? why cant we colonize mars?
time to stop funding science, there are no results
id prefer to live in a country known for its beautiful churches and great schools of art and philosophy
the united states could be the envy of the world if we would let go of intellectual candy and defund NASA, CDC and other organizations that claim to offer "solutions" to the questions of life
you don't understand the universe through physics, you understand it through ethics and philosophy |

Because we are using science to try to figure these out.
What? It's just rocket science. |

"why don't we have cures for a lot of diseases?" ...Trust me, we'd have cures for EVEN LESS diseases wihtout it.
"why cant we colonize mars?" It would take 2 years to go there... I'm not even kidding.
And of course, humanity is too lazy to wait 2 years only to set their foot on a distant planet.

Humans will colonize Mars in the future. Mars One is a non-profit organization based in the Netherlands that has put forward conceptual plans to establish a permanent human colony on Mars by 2025.
Also, You know how expensive it takes to put something into space? |

2025 is too far away, why bother funding it if we cant land now, science is SUPPOSED to have answers for everything, right? |

| Today, it costs $10,000 to put a pound of payload in Earth orbit. NASA’s goal is to reduce the cost of getting to space to hundreds of dollars per pound within 25 years and tens of dollars per pound within 40 years. |

It takes physics, architecture, and engineering to build them. Sure the artists might of had the vision of it, but science helped create it.
What? It's just rocket science. |
