| Ive been tring to clean my main roblox game"DBOA:2 your saga" to reduce lag. So Ive Made some very large blocks smaller (Dimensions exceeding 1024,1024,1024 in size), Deleted unessary blocks. But I read some where that welds are very laggy and I found a whole bunch in my game, although i did not use free models or manulely inserted into the blocks. So how did they get there and do they cause lag? |

Are they strongjoint welds? These welds automatically apply when you move or rotate things in buildmode. The reason the're applied is because time is running and thats the only way to keep their positions. You could pause the game while building in build mode to stop getting the welds.
Those welds wouldn't happen in studio edit mode, because time is frozen and nothing moves unless you move it.
If the welds are part to part welds they where probably put there with a script. If you didnt write or insert the script then remove it. It may be a malicious script that causes lag by welding all parts.
In general if you scriptwelded something together it shouldn't be a problem with lag. It really depends on how many welds there are that lag becomes an issue.
