| As we know, last month The Legend of Korra was taken off air. Some might think it was due to the violence, intense plot, etc. Though, it was actually taken off to low viewership. This left some of us puzzled. Though if you think about it, its kinda obvious. Lets do a recap. The Legend of Korra was brought to Nickelodeon in early 2012. This was due to the shows sudden popularity, because of the comics. So Nickelodeon said "What the hell, lets revive it!" This may have seemed all good, and it kinda was. The first season debuted strongly. It included references to the past series, some-what explained what happened to everyone, and it introduced us to our colorful cast. It also gave us a very strong villian, who was nothing like the villians we've seen in the past. Though it was short lived, and left us wanting more. Then along comes the second season. This was a major botch. Now for all of 'die hard Korra fans' saying "This is all about Korra." "No one cares about the past" and all that crap, keep in mind this came back because of the past series. Korra barely listened to anyone. Though, this isn't new, but seriously. She bassically did things her own way, and ignored everyone throughout that season. Secondly, the spirit world was portrayed very differently than it was in the first series. Thirdly, the first avatar was named 'Juan'. This is kinda odd, since the characters take on Asian or Native American decent. An Asian dude named Juan is kinda weird. Just saying. Then fourthly, Korra gives everyone instant access to the spirit world, ends all possible ways to be reincarnated, and eliminates the point of her even existing. The Avatar is intended to be the bridge between two worlds, and she basically lifted the toll of the bridge to the spirit world. Not to mention she literally killed someone over abusing the spirit world because it fell into the wrong hands. Doesn't anyone think that because they have free access to the spirit world, someone is going to abuse it?! This left a bad taste in a ton of peoples mouth, and ultimately left the show in the dirt. This caused a very drastic drop in the third seasons viewership. Because of this drop, Nickelodeon sent the show to online viewership. To be honest, They should've just turned the comic series into a TV show, and made Korra a comic. I mean after all, atleast the comics tell us what happened to Zuko's mom. Which, to be honest, is the only reason we watch Korra. |

| Legend Of Korra was a mistake anyway. The plot has too many holes, and the characters aren't too great. They just put the personality of the past characters (except Korra, who's personality is solely her own) and put them on cheap knockoffs. The only good things the show's brought to us was the inclusion of Iroh and Admiral Zhao. |

"Legend Of Korra was a mistake anyway. The plot has too many holes,"
I don't know which plot you're talking about, but LoK was only planned for one season, so of course there will be some plot holes present. It had a rocky start, but the team has indisputably redeemed the show with season 3, at least.
"and the characters aren't too great. They just put the personality of the past characters (except Korra, who's personality is solely her own) and put them on cheap knockoffs."
I have to disagree. Tenzin is nothing like his father- this has actually been a stumbling block for him throughout the past two seasons. He's much more prone to stress than Aang. Bolin, while *similar* to Sokka, is by no means a total copy of his character. As for Asami and Mako- while I feel that they are less developed than others, they have their own distinguishable qualities that sets them apart from A:TLA characters. And of course, there's Lin Beifong, who mirrors her mother, but is not precisely her mother in a new body. |

| I don't entirely hate the third season. Mainly beause its starting to help me figure out what has actually happened after A:TLA. I know it was only planned for a season, but Nickelodeon just wants another way to make a few bucks. I don't like Lin Beifong, or her sister. Lin has her mothers more serious side, while her sister has her more rebel side. So its like they split Toph in half. I don't like how they revealed Toph to be so trashy, and like a babies momma. I wouldn't have seen that in her character. Tenzin is the more stern side of Aang. Aang actually has been that way in some episodes, like what happened when Appa was stolen. Asami is sort of the "love triangle" character. She, as you stated, isn't welly developed. I think she's more for fanfiction than anything. Mako is kinda the "down to business" guy. He kinda reminds me of Zuko without the pent up anger and goth stereotype. When it comes down to it, Korra isn't the most ideal show to carry on the legacy. I feel they should've turned the comics into a show. But, Nick wont allow it, due to Zuko's mom. It contains hints of domestic abuse, which is "too mature" for Nickelodeon. |
