| If Scotland goes independent I will move to England. It is common sense to vote no. There will be so many cuts and we will be in debt. |

do you want to know what most of the 6bil deficit is made from? UK national debt. by scrapping trident, removing house of lords costs, not needing to pay for things that don't matter for us such as HS2 and the london sewers, as well as paying the debt, we will be in a surplus - not a deficit.

@ross
If we scrap Trident, how do you propose we defend ourselves on a nuclear level? How can we deter our enemies from attacking us? If a nuclear warhead is launched at us, how can we retalliate and defend? |

who the hell are scotland's enemies? so sorry that THE ENGLISH LABOUR GOVERNMENT put us in an illegal war. we have no reason to be one of a handful of countries to hold nuclear weapons, especially one with only 5 million people. Out of NATO, only THREE MEMBERS out of TWENTY EIGHT have nuclear weapons of mass destruction. why would we need any?

If you think that splitting with England will somehow make you friends with the multitude of foreign hostile countries, you are an idiot. Nuclear arms are essential to the United Kingdom, especially since we (and America) have been at the forefront of international interventions in wars. Besides which, Scotland is directly next to England, do you honestly think you're safe because you and your fat SNP leader demand independence against us 'evil' English? |

sorry, but we are saying goodbye. england and scotland are on different economic and social paths. scotland wishes for a greener future, relying more on renewable energy, while england believes that fracking which causes earthquakes is the right way to go. scotland wishes for a fairer economy, so huge banks and companies don't get tax cuts which leave the middle class to account. england believes that banks should be extremely inflated so that we have another crisis. scotland wishes for progressive movement, meaning better social and foreign policy and not plunging ourselves into illegal wars. england wishes to get into any war it can so that their defence contractors get the moolah.
nuclear arms aren't essential AT ALL. when was the last time a nuclear missile was required? oh wait, never. "esides which, Scotland is directly next to England, do you honestly think you're safe because you and your fat SNP leader demand independence against us 'evil' English?" of course you'd insult the man who: -made prescriptions free -banned toll roads -abolished university tuition fees -added 1000 more police officers -reduced class sizes significantly
so sorry that he's fat, while your thin david cameron promotes nuclear weapons, banking crisis, banking bonuses and more taxes on the most vulnerable!

| And while your fishy friend Salmond is banning a few toll roads and making some cheap prescriptions free, David Cameron and his government have restored the economy back to pre-credit crunch levels, (the economic decline caused by your anti-capitalist socialist friends in Labour). |

Also, you claim you want a 'greener' future, yet your biggest exports and uses are gas, oil, and whisky? Two of which are fossil fuels that contribute to global warming. |

and while your poncy insensitive sociopath cameron is taxing the disabled, embarrassing people by cutting their benefits and leaving them unfed for FOUR DAYS, seeing NO rise in wages, seeing higher prices in shops, 11% wage rise for MPs, and a stagnant middle class, we've been making policies that both help the working and poor classes as well as having foreign investment incentives, growing our economy in a stable manner.

yeah, as if you can stop fossil fuel drilling. i'd much prefer if we didn't drill for oil, but it can't happen in a day. i'm voting green anyway and via the AMS i'll be voting SNP as a secondary choice, however it'll still be a long time until we can be totally carbon neutral in terms of energy production.

why do you people even argue about this??? you're not going to change another person's opnions or ideals ok.
politics is just another way to tell another person you think they're stupid and you hate their ideas. |

Ross, You think it's wrong to cut the benefits of immigrants who enter this country, then several months later, claim benefits and live their lives funded by our taxpayers? There is a multitude of options for people who are legitimately seeking jobs while on benefits - the army (requires fitness and a bit of thinking), or a simple job such as a cleaner, gardener, dustman, etc.
A person who truly wants a job can find one. |
