most open world games are actually more linear than we think and only allow us to take one or two different paths. same goes for mmos. |

| Yes it is pretty liner, but that is not something to complain about, as it is still fun and revolutionary either way, while I agree that it is linear not everyone likes Open World Games. What matters in Half Life is the gameplay and the storyline, not the feel of adventure, it is not that kind of game. |

Isn't CoD and Battlefield campaigns far more linear then that?
They seriously kill you if you wonder too far off the intended path.
