Most laptops in that price range are surprisingly crap. When buying a laptop, you either want to buy an incredibly expensive laptop, like an Alienware that can do everything very well, or an incredibly cheap laptop, like a Chromebook, that can do limited things very well.
But when you buy in between that price range, you typically get crappy things that don't seem to do any task well.
It's better to just buy a desktop than a middle-range laptop. Desktops these days are pretty good and it's hard to find any that will just fall apart on you. |

Did you try replacing the thermal paste?

">100 degrees celsius constantly"
You still haven't told us what the problem is. I don't know where you're getting this temperature from, and so for all I know, it could be misreading it since you haven't even bothered saying if you actually see any slowdown or feel the overheating.
If the fan is running, which I expect you would've checked, then I really need more info than that.

we dnont know the issue
i originally thought the issue was dust on the inside but clearly that isnt the issue
speccy is the thing im getting it from
it does shut down from overheating quite a lot... i usually shut it down before so but it does it a lot.
i compared my temperature to boiled's temperature last night when he got speccy. his was at 55 c and mine is at 100 c :/ |

That's freaking $1400. You might as well just get a desktop if you're going to pay that much.

If no heat is coming out then a laptop cooler isn't going to do you anything. You're probably going to have to open up the laptop to fix it.
Which is why desktops are typically better for gaming devices. Because you can actually open them up easily and fix them when things go wrong. Laptops usually are hard to open and replace parts. |

>"Alienware is overpriced!"
Nope. An Alienware laptop gives you great hardware (laptop wise) plus a lot of really nice extra features and they only run about $1200, which is the average price for a high-quality laptop. It's even cheaper than the laptop previously suggested in this thread.
