(Not the TV show.)
Like all scientific theories, such as Atomic Theory, Cell Theory, Gravitational Theory, the Big Bang Theory is one of the best models of the universe science has to day.
However, it seems that a lot of people don't believe in it.
So, in this thread, I'm simply going to ask, what are you questions? Just as your questions. There has to be a reason you don't believe in it. Do you understand what it is? How it's determined?
Post any questions you have. I will answer them. |

Knowing how everything was created doesn't matter in the day to day life.

No. It affects everything. What you believe and don't believe has affects on your other beliefs. If you deny things like the Big Bang you may be gullible enough to buy into other conspiracy theories, like denying Global Warming, and then this may snowball into bigger conspiracy theories like the GMO conspiracy theories and the 9/11 conspiracy theories.
Also, the process scientists go through to learn this stuff develops technology that we use every day.

| The big bang is the most logical solution to what happened to this point. |

I see it like this, people have the need to turn to something for hope, for a lot of people that's religion.
And its always been that way, thousands of gods though out human history come and go, what makes me more right than the Egyptians? Or the Ancient Greeks? It's easier going throughout life being a good person than bickering and arguing who made who.

@mayor the time the universe existed is infinite
the universe expands and collapses in a loop The thing is, that everything in the universe will sooner or later be thermal energy (thermodynamics), even all the matter Then we would have a situation like the big bang, a singularity of incredible thermal energy, which causes the universe to expand again.
i believe there is no beginning, a beginning would require time to exist before space existed

"Accident" implies a conscious agent. There is no conscious agent. It's not an "accident" that apples fall to the ground. It's gravity. It's nature. It's just how things work.
>"all i'll say is

A scientific theory is a demonstrable model with explanatory and predictive powers. They are the most proven things in all of science. Atomic theory is a theory. Atoms aren't just some guess, they're demonstrable, allow us to make predictions, and explain why things happen the way they do.
>"i could say the earth is 6,000 years old but it cant be proven wrong"
There are trees more than 6000 years old. So you're easily proven wrong.

| How on earth am I supposed to believe scientists when they tell me that everything came from nothing, without intelligent intervention? |

Its a more logical solution Kaidou.
Humanity isn't an accident it is the result of a process over millions of years called evolution.
And just because you dont believe in something doesn't disprove it. |

| I know that evolution and the big bang arent facts. But they are scientific theories with lots of evidence overcrowding them. ( a scientific theory is different from a normal theory creationists ) |

Conspiracies are real. The Flying Spaghetti Monster created the Earth, and made conspiracy f theories for His own Noodly Pleasure. |

The big question I have, along with many others, is: what was there before the Big Bang? How did it happen? I thought there were 2 theories on this.

I have a few. How is it determined? Where you personally there when it happened? Also, from what I remember, the theory stated that time was made from the big bang. How did the singularity explode if there was no time for it to do so? |
