Your fan base isn't relevant You're too ignorant to realize that professional sports isn't all about how many people show up in the stands

except that
1. canada has higher taxes 2. it's harder to get public funding for stadiums in canada 3. the canadian market is not guaranteed, whereas buffalo is a loyal market (especially considering the bills suck, that is something)
they wouldn't have made money leaving buffalo. the NFL has left cities before, and it always takes a long time to work out. the bills are a team that is supported by those who have been loyal enough to support a team that hasn't gone to the playoffs in 16 years. that is a rare type of loyalty you can't just pick up and place somewhere else |

lol what
this is how teams make most of their money. why do you think the teams who are always threatening to relocate are the ones that struggle with attendance? |

You're waaaay too stupid to argue with Everything is about money Toronto has a MUCH bigger market than Buffalo which would mean increased revenues within that region Toronto is also in an entirely different country which would mean a new TV contract worth billions of dollars |

"You're waaaay too stupid to argue with"
he's actually right in this scenario
"Everything is about money"
hmmmmm
"Toronto has a MUCH bigger market than Buffalo which would mean increased revenues within that region"
1. then how come there is no team in los angeles, london, paris, beijing, india, etc etc. those are all much bigger markets than buffalo. everything is about money 2. the bills already have a significant number of fans in toronto. why alienate all of western new york when you can have both fanbases at the same time?
"Toronto is also in an entirely different country which would mean a new TV contract worth billions of dollars"
which would piss off everyone in canada who likes getting a variety of games every week. oh and also the blackouts which would inevitably happen. that's something people don't like either |

"I' not talking about the team making money I'm talking about the league making money"
the league is a non profit organization (somehow). it doesn't make any money besides salaries for the executives. all television money is redistributed to the teams |

| and for those who say toronto is a bigger TV market, hockey night in canada (which the leafs are always on) only draws about 2-4 million people. canadians don't watch as much TV as americans, there is no money in the canadian TV market |

they are just an organization for the teams. the teams make the profit, the league doesn't. |

@tato
There's less than 200,000 NFL viewers in the Buffalo market so I would say anything around that range would be an upgrade lol |

| also, a TV contract with CBC or something like that would be worth around $3 billion just like the other contracts NFL has with CBS, NBC, or Fox regardless of who it pisses off (like the NFL cares anyway) |
