Only one guy from my graduating class decided on going into the Marines, he was the whole 9 yards jarhead. Football nut, believed men were "Made in the weight room" Even came into the store I worked 2 weeks before he got sent to bootcamp and said to me in the thickest country accent I've ever heard. "You guys think about joining the marine core"
Wished him best of luck all the same, he like many others have that special mix of stupidity and bravado that's required to join a "Fighting only" branch. |

My late grandfather was in the marines during the end of WW2.
After Iwo Jima he never really recovered. |

Living by a major marine base, you see a lot of them.
Most of them seem like nice people. |
