Instead of doing a ice bucket challence, they could of done a viral video to spread awareness and have a donation link like they did for Kony 2012 (horrible example but got viral and people supported it). Instead of having a challenge on the tier of the Salt/ice challenge that teens would screw up (like always), the video could of been alot more informative and would of gotten the word out better and actually have a somewhat better impact then dumping water on your head and freaking out like you got a n64 on christmas. Its better to inform and donate
now saus I do see your point but it should of been approached better |

I'm not a fan of the ALS ice bucket challenge, I feel like most of the people are doing it to be in the trend. But, its genius. Donate 10 bucks and drop a bucket of ice/water on you, or donate 100. with it being a trend, they made a large amount on it. |

Why do you fools keep ignoring the statistics?!?!?!
Look at how much has been raised!
Is that not good enough for you?!
You don't have to be against everything people do!
FFS.
You might think you're wise thinking you're better than all of society, but you're not. |

"Washington, D.C. (August 26, 2014) — As of Tuesday, August 26, The ALS Association has received $88.5 million in donations compared to $2.6 million during the same time period last year (July 29 to August 26). These donations have come from existing donors and 1.9 million new donors to The Association, which is incredibly grateful for this tremendous outpouring of support."

@Comic
its not against what others do, its how they approached it and people just using ths IBC to fit in and not donate at all. Thats what pisses me off. All the people I know did the IBC and didn't donate at all which is crap. |

Ironically, I don't post like that unless I'm angry at idiots. Your only comeback was to point out how I typed.
@Brett
You can't say you criticize the strategy when I just showed you it worked! People donated around 40 times as much money! |

| YES it raised money but ALOT of people aren't donating at all. You are missing that part totally. IF they all donated at least 50 instead of just doing the challenge to fit in (most of the people around me), they would of gotten ALOT MORE |

Sometimes money isn't all that matters, bret. Showing support is damn touching as well.

Chris is correct.
It doesn't matter. Most people who wouldn't have donated anyway didn't donate, but a lot of people who wouldn't have donated anyway DID donate, and that's what matters. You're just clinging on to a lost and invalid argument because it implies that people are good. |

| Yes showing support is good but when you have teens doing it just so they can fit in and they don't even care at all about it is what pisses me off to no end |

| I did my video on it to raise awareness that's what it is not to donate but to raise awareness. I understand were some of you are coming from with people are only doing for the street cred but still they are raising awareness and thats what the challenge is for :P. |

@Bret
Doesn't matter. Those people are doing it for fun, and they're basically tagging a charity to their fun. If you're going to have fun, why not point out a good cause? |
