It's not just the US, lots of countries have sports that are more popular than assoc. football (soccer)
Here in Australia soccer takes a backseat to our own national football code, cricket and rugby (rugby league specifically). |

American Football is spreading through the world fast, and in 50 years I bet association football will be below american football on fans throughout the world

Obby, I believe 0% of that.
The only place aside from America it is growing is England. And that doesn't really have much support aside from the American contingent in London. |

That's not going to happen Obby.
Especially since basketball and hockey are growing much faster than American football. If anything American football is dying in Europe because of the death of NFL Europe. |

Bung, they drew around a sellout for a special match for 1 game a year. WWWWWWWWOOOOOWWWWW.
And if they bring the Jags to London, they will probably be forced to relocate in 4 years because of the lack of attachment to the team due to poor performance. |

| NFL in London isn't a half bad idea, except for play flights of course, but if London got a team, i think it would be televised in a lot of europe and grow in popularity |

Most of the fans who show up to games in Britain are either American tourists, Americans living in Britain + their friends, or just people who want to watch a once-a-year-event.
If the NFL started doing like 9 regular season games a year in London with a franchise based there it wouldn't be as hyped up there because it'd be considered normal now. |

| Im not arguing for more games to be played there because I don't want to see a team go to London in my personal view, Im saying that Rodger goodell has mentioned that he Wants football to go global, And putting a team in London could work |

i'm pretty sure brits would be turned off by the 11 minutes of action in 3 hours aspect of the NFL.

NFL Europe was bad, but it wasn't as bad as people think it was. It was, in fact, the only thing keeping American football alive in Europe.
Fanbase-wise it was actually decent. In its final season they had a record average attendance for the entire league combined, so the fanbase definitely was growing.
Frankfurt, Germany had a team averaging 33,000 spectators, which was a 5000 increase from the previous season. That's nearly three times the attendance that the German championship game gets nowadays, and dropping attendance figures are going to make it three times eventually.
Eurobowl attendance now is also a quarter of what it was a decade ago. |
