These are a basic rundown of clan typlogies and their hybrids, please leave feedback.
---Strength In #s CLANS--- SIN clans rely on one thing alone, numbers. They often vy and claim to be skilled, but within themselves they see prestige with numbers and their defeats. They brag about how many people they got to a training and how many members they have in total. They don't care about activity per captia. A small run of the mill clan may defeat a big clan and brag about it more, using the sales pitch "Defeated 5k+ clan" instead of saying "Defeated prestigious big clan". These clans often see numbers as the only way of winning, for example, if their outnumbered by 3 members in a raid, the leader may start to get nervous. In these clans trainings are often just to fill time and hold activity and give out promotions to find new recruiting talent
All these clanologies fit in with the above desc., but as fitting to their category matter in size.
Super Clan: >10k+ Ex: FEAR,VS,GG
Big clan: 1k-10k Ex: VN
Run of mill: All allowed in, under 1k Ex : TCC , Schatten, etc.
Non-C&G: Similar to run of the mill, but doesn't have any major members who C&G, so they are less likley to follow traditional clan values and C&G logic (the positive kind, which says "nope, you can't kick us if you tell us to shut up and we don't) Ex : Half the clans you see in GRP
---PMCs--- PMCs only hold one clanology.
PMC: Private military corps are like sports teams, they skip raiding and only do "FBs" against other PMCs and Clan FB teams. These FBs are called scrimmages.PMCs don't need overall activity, just need a certain number of people to show up on a certain date. Ex: Old E-PMC, Platnium Space PMC, Old Unstable
---Powerful--- These clans are much more selective in who they accept, trying to have both activity and skill. These clan's defenition of activity is activity per captia, and judge other clans by this, eg. How many come per 100 members?
Power: Active, skilled, filtered, NOT A HYPE CLAN, (must last for more than 2 months). Power clans care about skill for sure, they usually depend on it, but they also depend on activity. These clans often clear their ranks of "weaklings" to make themselves more attractive activity per captia wise and to attract better members who will feel good about themselves (In truth, think of the feeling you'd get when you join VAK vs what you'd get when you join FEAR) Ex: VAK, V O I D, Arcen (they both lasted over 2 months), Old TGI
Req: These clans want to keep the ODers, shaggies and noobs out, so they set KO limits. The result is veterans, less alts, slightly more skill, slightly more activity per captia then SIN clans. Ex: Cant name any of the top of my head, but tons of small clans
Stronk clans: Stronk clans and their motivations are similar to that of both power and Req clans. They might have obbies and they might have purges often to get well motivated, determined, loyal members, while not sacrificing as many members as they would if they were a power clan. Ex: Unstable, TDS
Invite only/Tested clans: This should be obvious.
---Hybrids--- There are all sorts of hybrids between these clanologies They include
Superpower: Size of a super clan and the skill of a power clan Ex: FC (I think thats it...)
ODer/Noob filtered clan: SIN clan which filters people by their looks (lol)
Stronk Initiation Clans: Semi - SIN clans which maintain a high level on skill because they have an obby which one must complete to pass the first rank Ex: SF |

"They don't care about activity per captia."
because activity per capita means nothing anyone who cares about activity per capita is someone who cares about the #s in a group, not the other way round like you suggest
e.g. who cares about the 30k inactive fwc members if you start talking about activity per capita, that's you judging clans on their #s not their actual activity
the actual activity of the clan is all that matters |
