What does GC think about it?
It's something that sorta has to be seen to be believed.

| Being American I learned at a young age the American school system isn't for all, so either do good because you are book smart, or you can make it through middle school, and elementary by just grinding and barely passing.(me) |

Huh. I had heard that the American education system was terrible. I never realized it was...
I mean, ignoring the whole "Insane hand waving" And constant shouting, why in the world does someone answering questions have to stand up, and every single person have to stare directly at them? I can't think of an easier way to completely demotivate people to answer questions.
(But no, that hand waving still bugs me. What in the world are they doing?) |

Because the entire subsection has rotted to the core, and fallen into disarray and despair. |

Things that break you out of your shell are good though. So long as you're not trying to be someone you're not, and this is coming from a naturally introverted person.
Things that break you out of your shell are bad. Want to know what happens if a turtle breaks out of its shell?
It dies.
Forcing people to embarrass themselves in front of an entire class of peers is a poor idea. Introverts should "Break out of their shell" At their own pace. Trying to force them to do so is almost never a good idea. |

Since when is giving a (hopefully) correct answer in front of the class embarrassing?
Because the entire class is staring at you, and if you get it wrong all you can do is awkwardly sit down. Atleast when you answer school questions normally, half the class is dozing off, or at the very least not staring at you. |

| How in the world is forcing someone who wants to answer stand up and have everyone stare at them "social skills"? Social skills is not that. It's about talking to other people, not standing up while saying an answer and having everyone look at them. |
