Hello, and welcome to The Great Britannic Empire's Guide. Here you will learn the basics of the group and the it's way of working, and how to successfully improve your career in the military if you wish to do so. I highly recommend you read everything on this guide.
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Contents: 1. Introduction 2. Basic rules 3. Commands 4. Divisions/Regiments ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
1. Introduction
You now joined a british reenactment group. We intend to re-create Great Britain in the Napoleonic Wars and 19th century. As you know, Britain was the most powerful nation of the era, and you are now part of it's military. We are a powerful and disciplined army, and you will act as so. While on duty, you must ALWAYS be mature. This applies mainly to officers. Immediately follow your orders, without questioning them, even if they are bad. Even though, if you spot an officer which does not know the commands, or is not doing his job properly, immediately send a PM to a General+, explaining the reason of your report, telling him who you are reporting and when did the action occur.
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
2. Basic rules
As you the text above states, you must always be mature while on-duty. You are considered to be on duty when you: -When you are in any forts which belong to TGBE; -When you are wearing the uniform; -When you are under the command of an officer.
Do not ask for ranks, don't rank beg, this may cause a demotion. Try to show your value, discipline, skill and you will be rewarded. Being active is VERY important. The more active you are, the easier you get promoted.
Respect ALL the members of the group, but mainly your officers. Do not start fights with each other, this may result in punishment. Unity is important.
When you join the group, it is important you buy the uniform. We understand that the price floors are high, but buying the uniform is your contribution, apart from being a soldier, to the group. The money of the uniforms that have been bought is used on ads, which will only improve even more the group. We allow soldiers to join the army, for now, without the uniform. Buying the uniform shows your concernment about the group, so in order to go past Private First Class you need to have the uniform.

4. Divisions/Regiments
Here you can learn more about regiments. You can find more information on their descriptions. They are in the group's allies.
Artillery: Artillery men have the job of firing a powerful weapon: cannons. The first rank will keep you as a guard of the cannon, defending it from possible infantry attacks. After that, you might be chosen to be a spotter, a gunner or the squad leader. Spotters have to job to spot enemies to fire at. Gunners must have good accuracy, they will aim the cannon at the target and fire when ordered by the squad leader. The squad leader leads a cannon and drags it accordingly to his orders or where he seems it is good. He is in charge of a team of 3 - 5 men. At least one gunner, one spotter and one keeper. The squad leader might be given the command of more than one cannon.
95th rifles: 95th Rifles are an elite regiment of infantry. They are skirmishers (snipers as we call it in our days). Only good musket men are allowed in. The rifles fight without a "real" formation, although they fight in groups.
Grenadiers: Grenadiers are an elite regiment of infantry. The best and most disciplined soldiers are picked to join this regiment. Grenadiers are allowed to use grenades, and throw them to the enemy lines to launch the chaos over them. Grenadiers are also used as Royal Guards.
Lifeguards: Lifeguards are mounted soldiers. They are an elite unit of heavy cavalry. Wearing shiny armours and sabres, they shall spread chaos over the enemy armies.
The End. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ You did good on reading all of the guide. Good luck. |
