Okay, so I recently played Katawa Shoujo (Disability Girls), and I went on an extreme feels trip. (I only cried a little twice on the routes of Lilly and Hanako, haven't played through all of them yet.)
Anyways, I'm kinda looking for other visual novels. Would you people be kind enough to suggest to me please?
Preferences would be sci-fi and probably love stories, as long as they are feels-inducing. But all other suggestions are welcome.
(PS: KATAWA SHOUJO IS GOOD; MUST TRY) |

| Bah. Visual novels? Disgusting products of Japan. The game isn't sad, it's a disgusting Hen-tie cripple girl dating simulator. |

Now, I use two different sites, links here. http://erogedownload.com/ http://fuwanovel.org/
I also use suggestions from this post on another forum http://forums.fuwanovel.org/index.php?/topic/2151-50-translated-vns-you-should-read-before-you-die/
Now, I have one or two suggestions, and my quest for Visual Novels continues over at M/V/B, where I review anime/VN's on a switched weekly schedule. Check it out for review n' stuff.
Now, "My Girlfriend is the President," is an "Iffy" romantic/erotic Visual Novel comedy that involves some bit of Science Fiction, four women, and about two acts of romance until the climax and "Pay-off" act. The next, I've seen gameplay, and it seems enjoyable (However, I couldn't Download) is Chaos;Head. More suspense then romance, buy, uh, yeah.
Now, what I'm going to suggest is you stick away from 20th century VN's, they're no good. I've played about 4-5 so far... Eh, all erotic, no substance.
"Just because one plays a game does not mean one enjoys it." Yes, because your messages of glee about Lilly's Path showed that you "Didn't enjoy it."

A simple jest, friend. Truly I was simply overjoyed that the game managed to reach levels I'd declare "mediocre" whereas the other two paths I had played could be seen as subpar, Madame Sander Clegane, or Hanakos in particular.
As for the OP? Play the Phoenix Wright series. Stay away from everything else. |

Yes, because the "Adulthood" ending of Hanako's wasn't good enough for you, even though, it was beautifully crafted, beautifully led to, and quite frankly, the most romantic gesture of the entire damn game. And, yeah, Phoenix Wright is a good series. |

MAGE
Hello. I am merely here to debate the quality of Katawa Shoujo, at Hwens insistence. I do not have any plans to stay longer then that. |

Yeah, because you don't understand Mage. Hanako's ending is so good because it is the reality we all face when arriving into adulthood with the ones we love. |

Of course it wasn't good enough for me. The Hen-tie scene was ridiculous, unnecessary and felt as though it was included merely to fill a quota of hen-tie scenes. Anything I could have felt was ruined by that. It was not sad, it was not emotional. I felt very little throughout my entire play through of the game. Quite a sin for a game that is supposed to tug at ones heartstrings. All that's left is a mediocre visual novel, that was an amusing distraction.
And, yeah, Phoenix Wright is a good series.
Ah, so you don't have completely terrible taste.

Oh, so you don't understand that Hanako felt forced to do it keep you with her? She felt obliged to take your urges, "Make you her own," so to speak. But, that's never the case. She was desperate, and as you did it, you broke further apart. But sometimes... Love needs that. So when you finally pulled the "Now or never card," Hanako felt she had nothing to lose, and thus she came, you began to understand each others true feelings. It will hurt... Yes, but that pain will make you stronger, and together you will carry on. |

| Ridiculous. A relationship born from interactions such as that is doomed to fail. The game gives no option to take the sensible, reasonable approach and simply have a mature, reasonable discussion. The relationship would not last a month once the game comes to an end. |

Yes, because she would obviously listen to reason. Oh, wait, she wouldn't, because she thought you and Lilly were just "Protecting her." The reason the H-scene worked so well was because you took her vulnerability, her protector did it! Once she lost that sense, then that relationship really good flourish. The "Discussion" ending is when you go to Hanako's for the "Friend Zone ending." |

Because having *** with her was the ONLY possible way to convince her you weren't just protecting her, eh?
---
The "Discussion" ending is when you go to Hanako's for the "Friend Zone ending."
And just like with Lilly the Friendzone ending is clearly superior.

Well, have *** with her shows her two things. 1) The barrier of "Protector" is broken 2) You also have feelings for her. Remember, in the "Adulthood," ending, she doesn't want to be seen as helpless, so becoming friend zoned does such that, especially since beforehand, you bonded on the "Date" after Lilly departed. So, "Friendzoning," Hanako actually makes you fall into the role she doesn't want to see you in. |

Once again, is there no other way to express this without ***?

And yet it is still the best ending, because
A: it skips the hen-tie B: It allows them to take their relationship slowly, and actually form a steady relationship. Even if the two never date in the friendzone ending, it's the best for the both of them. The "good" ending is just doomed to fail. |

"Once again, is there no other way to express this without ***? " There may have been other ways, but you know what? *** is the ultimate form of expression, and Hanako, being desperate at that point in time would look towards the extremes. It is her character after-all.
So... Let me get this strait as-well. The relationship up to said point was building to a romance. Hell, you've made it to where Hanako is openly telling you of her past, something Lilly couldn't even do. So, you, thinking you want to protect her, become "Friend-zoned," in your own thought, thus not doing what Hanako does. Hanako, being, well, Hanako then becomes confused about your lack of interest for her, and takes it as hate. How can this be the good ending? You suggest that the romance is doomed to fail, but, how isn't the friendship doomed to fail when Hanako is in love with you, but then you reject her because you want to "protect her?" |

And as the player I should be allowed to reject this and attempt to come to a reasonable conclusion.

When did I say I wanted to protect her? The game forcing me to white knight her was a pet peeve I had about her path. The romance is doomed to fail, but if you talk it out, get frienzoned you have the option to start a new, reasonable one that is based around actual understanding. |
