rather then be wrong in the afterlife, if there even is one.
I got 50/50 opinions about god right now
I believe in him but I don't want to just be wrong in the afterlife and go to hell if it really exists
or I can get attacked by allah!!!!! |

There is no way an afterlife like heaven and hell are real. In its 4.6 billion years circling the sun, the Earth has harbored an increasing diversity of life forms:
for the last 3.6 billion years, simple cells (prokaryotes); for the last 3.4 billion years, cyanobacteria performing photosynthesis; for the last 2 billion years, complex cells (eukaryotes); for the last 1 billion years, multicellular life; for the last 600 million years, simple animals; for the last 550 million years, bilaterians, water life forms with a front and a back; for the last 500 million years, fish and proto-amphibians; for the last 475 million years, land plants; for the last 400 million years, insects and seeds; for the last 360 million years, amphibians; for the last 300 million years, reptiles; for the last 200 million years, mammals; for the last 150 million years, birds; for the last 130 million years, flowers; for the last 60 million years, the primates, for the last 20 million years, the family Hominidae (great apes); for the last 2.5 million years, (human predecessors); for the last 200,000 years, anatomically modern humans.
I hope you can realize that the organic matter that each organism is composed of is recycled back into the biosphere and becomes a part of the ecosystem. Many atoms that we are composed of today have been in the living organisms that have long since ceased to exist. You probably have 'dinosaur' atoms in you right now. Before we were born the atoms that we are composed of were in other organisms or nutrient rich soil. Our minds return to a state of oblivion after we die like before we were born.

You can be an agnostic: a person who believes that nothing is known or can be known of the existence or nature of God or of anything beyond material phenomena; a person who claims neither faith nor disbelief in God. |

| We know all of that based on fossil layering. Ignorance is not an argument against science. |

Maybe because religion really isn't there?
In Christianity as long as you are baptized you can redempt your sins on your deathbed before you die and get into heaven
I might do that if I chicken out. xD.
In theory hliter could do the same thing which is a bit freaky.. |

And 'cave men'
They did have their own sort of religion
It was more based on nature and the believe in evil things in the forest.

you say you believe in god because you don't want to go to hell but what about all the other religions? with that point of view, doesn't that mean you should "believe" in all of those, too? |

| So many diffrent religions how do you know thats yours is the right one maybe non of them are thats why religion is to me feels wrong if everyone had the same religion then sure but diffrent parts of the world made up what they wanted to to keep the people afraid of doing bad things or else you go down there etc. |
