I'm absolutely petrified.
No, its because:
Its a guy on a cell phone with a backwards hat and it has far more dislikes. Its obviously not a professional or believable video. Its amatuer and probably has many fallacies |

| How about you take action yourself to watch the video? Instead of being somebody who just does what others say? |

| So there was a tornado, it sucked in a crappy old red car and turned it into a shiny red Lambo, he said. Pretty much what evolution is, a boom and everything was created perfectly? How about you think about that. There had a to a beautiful mastermind behind it all, not a scientific explosion. |

"everything was created perfectly"
Except it wasn't. This world is extremely chaotic.
Plus look how big the universe is. As far as we know, we're the only life in it. That just goes to show how unlikely it is for evolution to work, and how it is very possible that we got lucky. |

"So there was a tornado, it sucked in a crappy old red car and turned it into a shiny red Lambo, he said. Pretty much what evolution is"
??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
also i watched your video:
"you cannot observe evolution, so it is not a science"
yes you can. while most organisms take a very long time of observation to have a noticeable evolution, we can observe evolution of bacteria cells in our own lifetimes. when you have a bacterial infection and you are treated with some kind of medicine, you are effectively killing off any bacteria that are susceptible to whatever the medicine is made of. however, if a bacteria was not affected by the medicine, it would live on while the other bacteria died off and reproduce itself, and each of its offspring would have its same traits, thus making that species of bacteria stronger and more difficult to kill with medicine. evolution.
"one man's theory"
actually there are many different theories of evolution hypothesized by many different scientists.
"you expect me to believe that from 1 cell all life on earth evolved?"
not 1 cell, but basically, yeah. we're talking tens of billions of years here, an unfathomably long amount of time. and the thing is we don't know exactly how life originated, there's no way to pinpoint exactly where it came from and when (at least not right now), but we do know that evolution works.
"and we all willed ourselves to develop different characteristics and traits?"
noooooooooooo no no no no. if you think this is what evolution is then you need to go back to middle school. the strong survived and the weak died. organisms that were well suited to their environments survived and reproduced while organisms that were not well suited died and reproduced less. "will" had nothing to do with it. it was a natural process that occurs every day.
"law of thermodynamics says that chaos cannot bring order!!!"
this is not even close to what thermodynamics says.
"The thermodynamics argument against evolution displays a misconception about evolution as well as about thermodynamics, since a clear understanding of how evolution works should reveal major flaws in the argument. Evolution says that organisms reproduce with only small changes between generations (after their own kind, so to speak). For example, animals might have appendages which are longer or shorter, thicker or flatter, lighter or darker than their parents. Occasionally, a change might be on the order of having four or six fingers instead of five. Once the differences appear, the theory of evolution calls for differential reproductive success. For example, maybe the animals with longer appendages survive to have more offspring than short-appendaged ones. All of these processes can be observed today. They obviously don't violate any physical laws."
"our world has order"
this is a very broad claim and it really means nothing.
"science believes that through an accident came a perfectly working earth"
it's not an accident, it's nature. to believe that the earth was created for humans is exactly the same frame of mind that had us believing that the sun and all the other planets revolved around us. we exist here because we CAN exist here. if we could not exist here we would not exist here. the earth does not have perfect conditions for us, rather we have evolved and adapted to fit the conditions that the earth has.
"seasons and tides and days and hours were all created by an intelligent being/a diety"
uhhhhhhhh
seasons are naturally occurring
tides occur because of the gravitational pull of the moon
all systems of time we have are made up quantified representations of a rotation around our axis and around the sun that we go with because it's a better organized system than randomly walking around and hoping that the person we agreed to meet with when the sun was at X point in the sky knew exactly when we meant
"that could never happen through an accident"
again, it's nature. if we couldn't exist here we wouldn't exist here.
"who really has to have a lot of faith"
well i believe that everything developed through the process of nature and we exist here because the conditions of earth allowed us to exist here and you believe that someone put us here because he loves us very much and everything revolves around us. so.
"i have experienced god, i've felt him"
ok
"universe justifies the bible because uni = 1 verse = spoken statement and god spoke one statement and the universe was created"
actually just dissecting latin origins of words doesn't make them mean whatever you want.
"Universe - all existing matter and space considered as a whole; the cosmos." |
