[][][]Introduction[][][]

Microfusion.

An interesting concept, yet one that eludes me.

The concept in which nuclear fusion can be achieved in a reactor as small as a thumb, yet produce enough power to power an entire city. A concept seemingly impossible, yet the EU has achieved it.

One of the largest mistakes the EU has ever made.

Everyone wants the secret to the future, and will kill to get it.

You are a soldier, left to walk the streets of Monaco. Your mission: extract a Microfusion Cell intact, and meet at the Rendezvous.

Your country is counting on you, don't fail them.

[][][]Mission Description[][][]

Your mission is to find anything that might help the US develop a copy of the microfusion cell. With Monaco being the waste it is, it won't trigger a war when the US go looking for nuclear secrets in it. Since it is also the original center for development for microfusion, it also give you the best chance of finding anything.

An actual Cell Prototype is preferred, but anything like formulae or schematics that can help us figure out how to dupe it is acceptable.

[][][]The Wastes of Monaco[][][]

Monaco was the center for most of the experiments in microfusion, until a prototype microfusion cell fell into the hands of a terrorist. The terrorist rigged the cell to meltdown, and the meltdown turned Monaco into a hellhole.

Your standard kit comes with a map to help you navigate the wastes of Monaco, and you can always check it at any time. (Unless you do something stupid like trade it for a pair of trousers.)

[][][]Threats[][][]

Several drones captured pictures of several potential threats that are within the cubic mile space of Monaco. Here is a few the CIA bothered to file into the database.

The Crazies: A group of men in stolen jeeps who kill people... for fun. These men are crazy, and to be shot on sight. Don't try to parlay with them. Their hideout appears to be in a derelict office building.

The Heatmakers: Another bunch of murders. Unlike the Crazies, these men kill to gather supplies. They know they won't be able to make it past the EU border, so they make it good for themselves here.

Wildlife: Wildlife have reclaimed Monaco, and kill several people every day. Avoid the south side, for many bears have overtaken it.

The Monarch's Men: A group of men who believe to be doing the Prince's will by killing off the scum in Monaco... which, to them, is everyone alive. The CIA believes they're no different from the Crazies, besides actual motive.

The EU: The European Union. They have a perimeter around the entirety of the fallout zone. They are listed as threats because they cannot know we are here. Do not stray too far from the city limits. Kill all witnesses of this variety. If they find us out, we'll have hell to pay.

[][][]Combat System/EXP[][][]

The skill you have performing certain tasks is based on your skill level in the related to the task. You have 7 skills that affect your play:

Strength: How tough are you? A high strength means you can keep a gun on target, wrestle a bull head-on, and punch any man's lights out.
Perception: Got senses? A high perception means you notice the smallest things; the slight dilation of the pupil when someone lies, the twitch of a hand when someone is about to fire, the potential fire hazards EVERYWHERE, nothing gets by you.
Endurance: Can you keep going? Endurance determines how long you can keep going. Bullets and knives don't stop the pain train. Only the pain train stops the pain train.
Charisma: Are you a Charming fellow? Charisma determines people skills, and people's disposition towards you. You want to buy a bomb from a guy in an old oil refinery, but hes asking for a lotta goods in return? No Problem! Just talk the guy down!
Intelligence: Genius or Pinhead? Intelligence decides your scientific knowledge, general creativity, and, in some cases, the ability to actually speak. A broken bone is no problem for Doc Warzone!
Agility: Can you run like the wind? Agility decides your speed, dodge chance, and general stealthiness. You can run away from anything, steal from anyone, and break into that warehouse in any way.
Luck: You feelin' Lucky, punk? Luck determines... well, everything. Your luck could change outcomes of events by landslides... or get you tied up and thrown naked into a woodchipper.

Each stat can have a maximum of 10, and a minimum of 1. all of them must total up to 40 points.

Combat starts when an enemy is aggroed/aggroes you, and ends when one side dies. The battle begins by rolling initiative. The higher number gets first move. ties are broken by coin tosses.
(Note: high agility give initiative bonuses.)
The winner of initiative goes first. In order to deal damage, he has to roll a d20, and the result must be higher than your Armor Class (AC). If he rolls lower or equal to, he misses. if he rolls higher, he hits and rolls the dice associated with his weapon. If he rolls a 1, it is a critical miss, and he damages himself for 1 dice roll of the dice associated with his weapon. If he rolls a 20, it is a critical hit, and the weapon does double damage, or a specified multiplier.
(Note: NPCs don't get crits.)
The enemy and the player take turns back and forth until one side is finished. after that, to the victor the spoils.

Each enemy gives a certain amount of experience. Experience equals level times one hundred, with the exception of bosses. The amount of Experience required to level up is your level times one thousand.

[][][]Rules[][][]

1. Most of this must be known to you right now. Use common sense. If something seems unreasonable to you, it probably is.
2. Death is death. If it happens, dont complain.
3. Never... Ever... Leave Monaco. The UN will crush you.
4. This is no ISRP. You will probably encounter the other players. If you do, be nice. They're on your side.
5. Happiness and smiles.
6. I WILL hand out smitings to those who deserve it.
7. When I say jump, you say "How high?"
8. One action at a time. Walls of text about how you obliterated the Heatmakers and Crazies in one night are unacceptable. You say an action and wait for response.
9. Yes, I 'ripped' Microfusion and SPECIAL stats off of Fallout. You can lay off the flaming, I've already admitted to it.

-ROLEPLAY START-

"KGB, First on the scene!" says your helicopter pilot, in Russian.
You look down at the wastes of Monaco. A small little bullet-sized 'experiment' did all this?
"Agent Varodivch, your mission is to unearth the secrets to microfusion," Commander Kirrlov says over comms, "You heard most all you need to know in the briefing. Your kit contains an Austrian Glock 18 with 3 magazines, an AN94 with 2 magazines, a map of Monaco, and an Environment Suit custom tailored for you. The Environment suit should protect you from radiation, but make sure it doesn't get damaged."
You notice a tubular backpack in front of you.
"There's also a few days worth of food and water."

The Helicopter lands in an old shopping district, where all the buildings have been ruined by the Microfusion Cell.
Before you step off the helicopter, the commander give you the only lead they have;
"We suspect a Doctor Montagne, a researcher for microfusion, has been captured by some raiders; judging by their communications, they don't seem to be affiliaed with the Heatmakers. You may want to find clues on where he is."

"Just come back to this location, you should be able to figure it out on your map," the Commander says as the helicopter lifts off, taking the comms signal with it.

You are now free to explore Monaco. You can check your map to find places where Doctor Montagne may be involved.

You are in a part of town with lots of shops. to your left is a clothing store, to your right a building with a car crashed into it.

You also have the option to open your map and travel.

The building is a derelict apartment, and the car is a small Gremlin. The man in the car is dead, and you determine the airbag didn't deploy and he cracked his skull on the wheel. A sign written on the inside of the windshield says "F*** THE FUSION ERA PROJECT," the name of the microfusion project.
The building is 5 stories, and has a sign out front that says "Support Microfusion!" and several of the windows are smashed.

Investigate car, Investigate apartment, or other?

Within the car, you find a newspaper, the headline saying 'Microfusion; A Brighter Future!' The article includes the address of the Fusion Era Project's Information Office.

The information office is 4 blocks down the road.
you walk the 4 blocks, and eventually reach the info center.
The front door is boarded up from the inside, as several civilians barricaded themselves in.
As you walk up to the door, the man inside the door aims a pistol at you through the window and asks, "Whataya want?"
